You will function as a project development member to install or upgrade equipment, schedule and obtain project material and manpower, support plant maintenance activities, and drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability and automation performance.\nWhat You'll Do\nSupervise and inspect the installation, modification, testing and operation of instrumentation, controls, components, and automation systems.\nFunction as project development member to install or upgrade equipment. Schedule and obtain project material and manpower.\nSupport the planning and execution of plant maintenance activities (including calibration).\nStrategize on maintenance, work instruction and methods to create effective preventive maintenance procedures.\nAnalyze breakdowns, diagnose faults, and lead time of equipment repairs. Implement preventive measures to improve machine reliability.\nWork with reliability engineers to improve equipment performance (Overall Equipment Efficiency) and extend equipment useful life cycle.\nOversee and control maintenance costs.\nTrain and mentor technicians in equipment operating concepts and maintenance techniques.\nSupport Plant EHS and Quality initiatives and targets.\nSupport Automation activities including line sustaining operations and troubleshooting.\nResponsible for complying with Site Safety and GMP procedures.\nResponsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of Electrical, Instrumentation and Automation aspects for plant equipment to ensure equipment uptime.\nProvide direction and guidance to Technicians in maintenance and troubleshooting matters.\nReview and approve calibration specifications against product and process specifications.\nSupport timely completion of calibration-related investigations and develop effective corrective and preventive actions.\nEvaluate root cause analysis reports of major equipment and system failure and develop potential solutions.\nReview installations and assembly documentation periodically to ensure compliance with organizational procedures.\nApprove recommended repair works for major equipment and system failures.\nEstablish technical guidelines for maintenance and alignment of robot motors, sensors and encoders.\nOptimize the motion, functions and routes of robots and other equipment and system components.\nManage vendor service contracts.\nPrepare operation and maintenance budget.\nComply with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), hygiene rules, and sanitation standards.\nPerform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.\nRequirements\n3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical or nutritional manufacturing facility is preferred.\nGood planning and supervisory, strong interpersonal and communication skills.\nProgrammable Logic Controllers (PLC) is an advantage.\nSupervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) is an advantage.\nHigh computer literacy.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to organize, motivate and develop team members.\nBachelor of Science Degree in Control & Instrumentation, Electrical, Chemical or IT Engineering or related discipline, or Diploma with more than 5 years of relevant experience.\nLocation\nThis position is based in Tuas, Singapore.\nFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
