In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.\nWe are seeking an Enterprise Data Architect to lead the design, governance, and optimization of enterprise data platforms, integrations, and data assets that support critical business applications and strategic decision-making. This role is responsible for establishing enterprise data architecture standards, advancing data governance and lifecycle management practices, and ensuring data is secure, reliable, scalable, and accessible across the organization.\nPartnering closely with business and technology stakeholders, the Enterprise Data Architect will drive data strategy, platform modernization, automation, and continuous improvement to deliver trusted data solutions that support operational excellence and business growth.\nWhat You'll Work On\nLead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise data architecture, integration frameworks, databases, and data platforms to deliver scalable, reliable business solutions.\nDesign and implement data pipelines, integrations, migrations, transformations, and automation capabilities that improve efficiency, performance, and data accessibility.\nEstablish and maintain architectural standards, development methodologies, and best practices that promote scalability, consistency, maintainability, and operational excellence.\nLead enterprise data governance and Data Lifecycle Management activities, including data quality, stewardship, retention, auditing, validation, and change control.\nPartner with business and technology stakeholders to define and implement data standards that improve data integrity, consistency, and trust across enterprise systems.\nDesign, support, and optimize the data platforms, integrations, and data assets that enable critical business applications and digital solutions.\nAdminister Support enterprise data platforms, Microsoft Fabric environments, Azure resources, databases, gateways, and related infrastructure.\nDrive platform modernization, capacity planning, performance optimization, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives to ensure secure and reliable operations.\nEnsure compliance with security, access management, and data protection requirements through effective governance and monitoring practices.\nMaintain technical documentation and development standards for deployment, version control, change management, and operational support.\nMentor team members and stakeholders on data management, governance, and platform best practices.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nMinimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in data architecture, data engineering, analytics, database administration, or related technical disciplines.\nExperience designing and supporting enterprise data architectures, integration frameworks, and scalable data platforms.\nExperience developing enterprise-scale solutions utilizing Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Server or related cloud data technologies.\nExperience developing and maintaining data pipelines, ETL processes, integrations, and automation solutions.\nStrong understanding of data governance, data quality management, master data concepts and Data Lifecycle Management principles.\nExperience supporting enterprise data platforms and supporting highly available, secure, and data solutions.\nKnowledge of security, access management, change control, disaster recovery, and business continuity best practices.\nAbility to work effectively in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence stakeholders, and drive organizational change.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and deliver high-quality results within established timelines.\nApply Now\nLearn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives:www.abbottbenefits.com\nFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
