A company that is recognized as one of the best big companies to work for as well as a best place to work for diversity, working mothers, female executives, and scientists.\nThe Opportunity\nAs the Finance Manager, support the annual planning and budgeting process for Pacific Asia Abbott Nutrition R&D (ANRD).\nLead and own the LBE cycle for Singapore, ensuring accurate forecasting and timely submission of financial deliverables.\nParticipate in capacity and capital planning and lead the financial analysis including financial simulations, project feasibility studies etc.\nCoordinate with Columbus R&D Finance during Plan preparations for capacity planning and other forecast related responsibilities.\nWork with Project and/or Work Managers to ensure timely update of project expense forecast in Planview (for Pacific Asia projects), including timely review of accruals during month end closing process.\nProvide financial oversight of the Singapore R&D Center project portfolio, including budget governance, resource planning, forecast reviews and funding allocation to support timely execution of the project pipeline.\nMaintain proper controls and procedures related to ANRD purchase order process, check requests, capital authorizations, cycle counts, etc, in compliance with Abbott policies and procedures.\nCollaborate with the Compliance Manager in the review of contracts and related R&D arrangements to ensure compliance with payment terms, applicable policies and local statutory requirements.\nPartner with host site (AMS) related to manage guest/host responsibilities and to streamline processes together.\nSupport the team in managing the end-to-end fixed asset lifecycle, including capital planning, RCE submissions, capitalization, maintenance, transfers, and disposal activities.\nPartner closely with the Business Excellence team to support continuous improvement initiatives.\nSupport internship and traineeship programs, including planning and related administrative activities.\nSupport payroll and headcount management activities, including reporting, forecasting, and month end accrual processes.\nCoordinate and consolidate in-affiliate site goals to support organizational performance tracking.\nWhat You’ll Do\n Lead the monthly LBE process to ensure the delivery of the financial forecast accuracy goals on an ongoing basis.\nPrepare monthly management reports and ensure timely and proper reporting of financial results to Columbus ANRD Finance.\nRegular review of project expenses to ensure funding allocation and utilization are in line with plan.\nWork in partnership with Corporate Finance Services (CFS) and appointed auditors to ensure proper reporting of R&D expenses in conjunction of the claims with respective government agencies on an annual basis\nRequirements\nStrong financial acumen with solid business partnering background to translate strategic goals and initiatives into effective financial interpretation to support and delivery of goals and initiatives.\nStrong integration and change management capabilities with demonstrated hands-on experience in driving organizational initiatives.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across functions, departments, and geographic regions. Good understanding and experience of business processes in a global organization.\nAnalytical thinking and ability to simplify complex processes to improve efficiency.\n8 - 10 years of relevant experience in business partnering with strong financial understanding and modeling skills.\nExperienced in contract review and negotiation with vendors and service providers.\nKnowledge of Power BI would be a plus.\nBachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.\nCPA/CA qualification.\nMaster’s Degree would be a plus.\nFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
