This is NOT a remote role/opportunity.\nThe Opportunity\nPartner with Molecular Diagnostics Quality and R&D leaders to align business priorities with technology solutions that drive compliance, innovation, operational excellence, and business value. This role serves as the primary IT relationship partner for the Quality and Research & Development organizations, while providing secondary support to Commercial functions based on business priorities and portfolio demand.\nAs a trusted liaison between business and IT, you will identify opportunities, define requirements, prioritize technology investments, and coordinate the delivery of digital solutions while ensuring alignment with quality, cybersecurity, privacy, and regulatory requirements.\nPrimary Business Domains:\nQuality: Quality systems, compliance processes, regulatory requirements, audit readiness, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nResearch & Development: Research, product development, laboratory operations, scientific applications, data management, and collaboration platforms.\n Commercial (Secondary Support): Commercial systems and business initiatives supported based on organizational priorities and team capacity.\nWhat You’ll Do\nServe as the primary IT partner for Quality and R&D business functions, with secondary support for Commercial.\nBuild strong relationships with business and IT stakeholders to understand goals, challenges, and opportunities.\nTranslate business needs into requirements, solution options, and technology roadmaps.\nSupport demand intake, prioritization, portfolio planning, and technology investment decisions.\nCoordinate delivery of projects and enhancements, including requirements, testing, stakeholder engagement, and adoption activities.\nPartner with architecture, cybersecurity, data, infrastructure, and application teams to implement effective solutions.\nSupport application lifecycle management, issue resolution, compliance activities, and continuous improvement efforts.\nCommunicate project status, risks, recommendations, and business value to leadership and stakeholders.\nEducation and Experience You’ll Bring\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Life Sciences, or related field; or equivalent experience.\n7+ years of experience in IT, business relationship management, business systems, consulting, product management, or project delivery.\nExperience partnering with business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver technology solutions.\nExperience leading or coordinating cross-functional business and IT initiatives.\nStrong communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.\nUnderstanding of application lifecycle management, cybersecurity, privacy, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in Diagnostics, Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or other regulated industries.\nExperience supporting Quality systems, compliance processes, or Quality Management functions.\nExperience supporting R&D, laboratory operations, product development, or scientific data environments.\nExperience supporting Commercial organizations and customer-facing capabilities.\nKnowledge of enterprise applications, analytics, workflow, content management, and integration technologies.\nMisc: This is an onsite role at Abbott location in Des Plaines, IL - DP1 and J55 Lake County.
