The Business Intelligence & Data Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level analytics solutions and dashboards that transform complex data into actionable insights for business and leadership decision-making. This role supports the standardization and optimization of analytics delivery, helping improve visibility, operational efficiency, and confidence in key business performance metrics.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide clear, actionable insights aligned with business objectives.\n\nPerform data analysis and validation to ensure reporting accuracy, completeness, and consistency across multiple data sources.\n\nPartner with business stakeholders to understand business processes, KPIs, and decision-making requirements.\n\nTranslate business questions into scalable data models, calculations, and visualizations.\n\nDevelop and maintain documentation for data models, report logic, calculations, and refresh processes.\n\nSupport User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and validate reporting outputs against business requirements and source systems.\n\nOptimize Power BI solutions for performance, security, scalability, and Row-Level Security (RLS) requirements.\n\nProvide ongoing support and enhancements to existing dashboards and reporting solutions.\n\nTroubleshoot reporting issues and implement approved change requests.\n\nCollaborate with IT and business teams to align analytics solutions with organizational goals and priorities.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, Business Intelligence, or a related field.\n\n5+ years of experience developing and supporting Power BI solutions.\n\nAdvanced experience with Power BI report development, dashboard design, and data visualization best practices.\n\nStrong expertise in data modeling and semantic layer design, including star schema design, performance optimization, and large datasets.\n\nExperience gathering business requirements and translating them into reporting and analytics solutions.\n\nExperience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validating data accuracy.\n\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\n\nAbility to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n\nAdvanced English proficiency (written and verbal).\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working in global organizations and cross-functional environments.\n\nExperience supporting healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, or regulated industries.\n\nKnowledge of data governance, reporting standards, and business intelligence best practices.\n\nExperience with Power BI security models, including Row-Level Security (RLS).\n\nExperience working with large-scale enterprise datasets and performance optimization techniques.\n\nFamiliarity with SQL, data warehousing concepts, and enterprise analytics platforms.\n\nApply Now\nFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
