JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primary Objective of Position
- The Corelab Application Specialist is responsible for supporting corelab customers in the integration of automation track, IT solutions, workflow design, instruments performance and assay applications at customer site. The role requires understanding the specific needs of each assigned laboratory and managing customer expectation to ensure optimal performance of the Abbott Solution.

Major Accountabilities
- Implement new assays and assist customer in defining instruments balance, performing correlation studies and optimizing system configuration
- Perform on-site assay investigation, troubleshooting, operator training and coaching.
- Lead the complete commissioning and go-live activities for the full laboratory solution, including the automation track, workflow design definition, AMS middleware, LIS connectivity, analyzers performance and assays distribution.
- Implement and maintain the automation track workflow, ensuring it remains aligned with evolving customer and laboratory needs.
- Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of laboratory automation data flow (LIS ↔ AMS middleware ↔ Automation/Analyzers) to effectively communicate with the appropriate teams and escalate issues when needed
- Partner with customers to ensure the Abbott solution is correctly utilized, providing on-site coaching and training as necessary.
- Assess analyzers utilization and operational inefficiencies, collaborating with customers to maximize testing capacity and performance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on AIP data, KPIs and operational trends.
- Ensure that all system updates, modification and configuration changes are properly documented, validated and communicated.
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in full compliance with Quality System requirements.
- Work closely with Sales and Service Team to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Act as a trusted partner and primary Abbott contact for the customer, coordinating laboratory staff and Abbott team, to guarantee best-in-class performance of automation system, instruments, IT solutions and reagents.
- Success in this role is measured through customer satisfaction score (NPS), consistently maintaining a high NPS score and achieving service-related key performance indicators

Education
- Degree in pharmacy / biology / biochemistry / health sciences or similar.
