In this role, you will lead day-to-day operational finance activities, drive plant-level financial planning, and deliver deep analytics to optimize manufacturing performance. You will actively collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Supply Chain leadership to turn financial insights into measurable productivity improvements and cost savings. \nWhat You’ll Work On\nFinancial Planning, Analysis & Cost Accounting\nPlan Management: Coordinate, consolidate, and manage the development of site financial plans, including Latest Best Estimates (LBEs), standard cost-setting, and capital expenditure (CapEx) budgets. \nCosting & Standards: Prepare annual cost standards for existing and newly introduced products at the Westford site.\nPerformance Measurement: Develop and implement financial and operational measurement tools in partnership with plant operations to drive productivity and customer service improvements. \nMargin Optimization: Facilitate unit cost savings and site-wide cost reduction forums to improve gross margins and rigorously monitor progress against commitments. \nFinancial Stewardship & Compliance\nData & Analytics: Gather, analyze, and interpret accounting and operational data to present meaningful variance reporting and actionable recommendations to the Site Controller and plant management. \nCompliance Assurance: Guarantee strict compliance with US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations, and all corporate and divisional financial policies. \nAudit Support: Support the Site Controller as a key point of contact for internal/external financial audits and corporate compliance reviews. \nSystems, Data & Process Improvement\nERP Optimization: Leverage SAP and advanced financial analysis tools to ensure accurate inventory tracking, precise product costing, and streamlined financial reporting. \nProcess Excellence: Drive the automation, standardization, and simplification of site finance processes to increase reporting efficiency and maintain data integrity. \nTeam Leadership & Collaboration\nTeam Development: Supervise, mentor, and develop site finance team members, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous professional growth. \nCross-Functional Partnership: Build trusted relationships across all levels of plant management (Operations, QA, Supply Chain, Engineering) to foster a culture of shared financial stewardship.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business field. \n7+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, with a heavy emphasis on manufacturing finance and operational cost accounting. \nRobust proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced financial analysis/modeling tools. \nExcellent oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence operational partners and present financial data clearly to senior leaders. \nResults-oriented self-starter with strong business acumen and a continuous improvement mindset. \nPreferred Qualifications\nProven supervisory or team management experience.\nExperience working in highly regulated manufacturing environments (e.g., medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare manufacturing) is strongly preferred. \nAPPLY NOW\nLearn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives: www.abbottbenefits.com\nFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
