The position contributes to the development of project budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and variance analysis, ensuring accuracy and alignment with expected performance.\nThe role gathers, analyzes, and consolidates financial data related to historical, current, and projected performance to support decision-making. It provides insights into cost drivers, project spending, and operational variances, and highlights risks and opportunities.\nWorking closely with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain, the position ensures accurate cost tracking and supports adherence to financial processes and controls. The role applies financial analysis techniques to recommend improvements and support financially sound decisions.\nAdditionally, the position may provide guidance and informal mentoring to junior analysts, while continuously seeking to improve financial processes, reporting quality, and data integrity.\nWhat You’ll Do\nProject financial planning and control:\nSupport development and maintenance of project budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections\nTrack actual project spend vs. budget and identify variances\nMaintain financial models and provide updates on project progress and challenges\nCost Analysis and Manufacturing Finance Support\nManage CapEx processes including authorization, tracking, reporting and compliance with corporate policies\nAnalyze manufacturing costs, including labor, material and overhead variances\nSupport operational teams with cost control, budgeting and spend analysis\nReporting, Close and Data Accuracy\nPrepare and support monthly, quarterly, and year end financial reporting\nAssist with account reconciliations, inventory analysis, and CIP tracking\nEnsure accuracy and integrity of financial data in system\nCapEx Support and Investment Analysis\nManage CapEx planning, tracking and reporting processes\nAssist in preparation of investment analysis (ROI, payback, etc)\nLead project expenditures and support capitalization activities\nFinancial Support, systems and continuous improvement\nMentor finance and cost analysist, ensuring high quality, timely financial support\nCollaborate with Corporate Finance Mexico and US, IT, and Global Engineering Services on reporting, alignment and governance\nLeverage ERP and planning tools (SAP S /4HANA, Essbase, etc) to enhance forecasting, reporting and analytics\nQualifications:\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree\nPublic Accountant, Finance, Costing.\nExperience\nControlling or Cost Accounting\n5+ years combined Manufacturing Accounting, Controller and/or Financial Planning, Project Controller.\nLead financial evaluation of capital projects from concept to execution\nDevelop and validate business cases supporting investment decisions\nStrong competencies in analysis, goal setting, quality focus, communication, interpersonal relations, teamwork, leadership, customer service and risk management.\nStrong knowledge in cost and SAP and Hyperion.\nLanguage\nAdvanced English.\nOther Qualifications and Education\nCertification in Costing or/and Finance desirable\nDiploma Project Management preferred\nFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
