They will also track and create key performance indicators and other metrics to measure efficiency and make data-driven recommendations for improvement. The Laboratory Optimization and Master Scheduler will also be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities.\nThis position is field based in Madison, WI.\nEssential Duties Include, but are not limited to, the following:\nDevelop, maintain and improve bespoke flow diagrams and other Lean solutions for commercial products or high-volume clinical trials for Labs across the Exact Sciences network.\nLeverage cross-functional resources as required to achieve goals.\nLead and execute Lean or Flow transformation projects as assigned.\nUtilize change management tools and techniques to ensure sustainable adoption.\nMonitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of process improvements.\nCollaborate with laboratory management to evaluate and implement improvements in process workflow and operational efficiency.\nWork cross-functionally with lab managers and stakeholders to promote and lead change management initiatives and ensure the longer sustainability and integration of workflow improvements.\nConduct time studies on laboratory processes to identify inefficiencies, establish baseline metrics and support data-driven improvement initiatives.\nMaintain lab operations SIPOC diagrams to ensure accurate process mapping and alignment across cross-functional teams.\nEnsure data accuracy, accessibility and relevance for stakeholders.\nIdentify and creatively solve cross-functional and internal issues that get in the way of successful outcomes, managing priorities accordingly.\nUtilize external Lean resources as appropriate.\nUphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.\nSupport and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.\nMaintain regular and reliable attendance.\nAbility to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.\nAbility to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements.\nAbility and means to travel between Madison locations.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in scientific or related field.\n3+ years of laboratory experience with 2+ years of Laboratory Information System operating.\n1+ years’ experience in monitoring and analyzing key laboratory metrics.\nDemonstrated understanding of lab processes, TAKT time, interpreting and analyzing data.\nDemonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.\nAuthorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.\nPreferred Qualifications\nLean, Flow, Six Sigma training/experience or certification.\nExperience in using data analysis applications.\nAdditional Requirements\nAbility to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.\nAbility to travel 25% of working time away from work location which may include overnight/weekend travel.\nApply Now\nLearn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives: https://abbottbenefits.com/\nFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
