IDEM is an over a billion-dollar business unit that now support significate growth for Abbott in COVID-19 related products in over 70+ countries.\nWe have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Infectious Diseases Division within Abbott Rapid Diagnostics, based at our Galway facility.\nAs Project Manager, you will lead strategic manufacturing projects involving Third-Party Manufacturers, working with both domestic and international cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for delivering projects from initiation through completion, ensuring objectives are achieved on time, within budget, and in line with quality and business requirements.\nWhat You'll Do\nIn this role, you will:\nTake ownership of overall project scope, timelines, budget, and successful delivery.\nDevelop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, resource requirements, and key deliverables.\nLead strategic manufacturing and operational projects involving Third-Party Manufacturers.\nCoordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones and objectives are achieved.\nIdentify, assess, and manage project risks while implementing effective mitigation strategies.\nOversee project documentation, including operational plans, quality transfer documentation, vendor contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), and Master Service Agreements (MSAs).\nMonitor project performance and communicate progress, challenges, and achievements to stakeholders and senior leadership.\nPrepare and deliver project updates, reports, and presentations for internal and external audiences.\nTrack budget performance, analyse variances, and recommend contingency plans where required.\nCollaborate with key stakeholders across multiple functional areas to drive project success.\nFacilitate problem-solving activities and lead teams in identifying and implementing effective solutions.\nFoster a collaborative and high-performing team environment that supports project delivery and team effectiveness.\nSupport decision-making processes within cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and business priorities.\nEducation & Experience\nBSc in a related discipline\nMinimum of 4 years' experience in project management or a related field including two or more years of experience in a similar project management role within a manufacturing, operations, medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare environment.\nTwo or more years of experience working within a regulated environment, including FDA-regulated industries.\nExperience managing external vendors, third-party manufacturers, or supplier-based projects.\nKnowledge of project management methodologies, risk management, and budget control processes.\nProven ability to manage multiple workstreams, priorities, and stakeholder relationships.\nStrong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nExperience working within cross-functional teams and managing project deliverables.\nKey Skills\nSuccessful candidates will demonstrate:\nStrong project planning and execution capabilities.\nExcellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.\nStrong analytical thinking and decision-making abilities.\nEffective communication and presentation skills.\nAbility to lead cross-functional teams and drive results.\nA proactive, solution-focused approach to problem solving.\nThe ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nA collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.\nWhy Abbott?\nAt Abbott, you'll have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that help shape the future of healthcare while developing your skills in a global, innovative organisation.
