Our 122,000 colleagues serve people in more than 160 countries.JOB DESCRIPTION:\nThe Opportunity\nThe Logistics Specialist will provide support to the logistics team, resolve ad-hoc logistics problems, and collect and analyze transportation data. This position works closely with the lab operations, clinical operations, commercial operations, manufacturing, supply chain, warehouse, and distribution teams. The Logistics Specialist will monitor daily reports from carriers to ensure shipments are on track to meet expected delivery dates for inbound and outbound shipments.\nThis is not a remote opportunity.\nQualified candidates must currently live or be able to travel to our Madison, WI or Phoenix, AZ locations.\nRelocation assistance is not authorized for this position.\nWhat You’ll Work On\nEssential Duties Include, but are not limited to, the following:\nExercise logistics support through standard practices and processes.\nIdentify and resolve issues as they arise in logistics.\nProvide analysis with logistics tools and metrics.\nAnalyze, interpret, and implement key performance metrics for logistics partners.\nProvide data analysis updates and reports to management in support of tactical and strategic initiatives.\nCommunicate cross-functionally to investigate, research, and resolve all exceptions promptly and include any necessary coordination with other departments.\nEstablish and implement corrective and preventative actions through continuous improvement initiatives; including, but not limited to, lead significant projects on cross- functional teams.\nBuild rapport and maintain effective working relationships with other departments.\nMaintain excellent interdepartmental communication.\nAbility to lead and participate in a fast-paced team environment with aggressive deadlines.\nAbility to influence without direct authority.\nAbility to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.\nApply an awareness and appreciation of different cultures.\nApply excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nApply excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.\nUphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.\nSupport and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.\nMaintain regular and reliable attendance.\nAbility to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.\nAbility to work nights and/or weekends, as needed.\nAbility to lift up to 40 pounds for approximately 5% of a typical working day.\nAbility to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.\nAbility and means to travel between Madison locations.\nAbility to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field as outlined in the essential duties; or Associates Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field as outlined in the essential duties and 2 years of relevant experience as outlined in the essential duties in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree; or High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 4 years of relevant experience as outlined in the essential duties in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.\n5+ years of experience working in logistics.\nDemonstrated understanding of UPS, FedEx, and DHL systems for domestic and international shipments.\nDemonstrated understanding of less than load (LTL) and full truckload (FTL) carriers.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel.\nProficient in Microsoft Office programs.\nDemonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.\nAuthorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.\nPreferred Qualifications\n2+ years of experience in a biotech manufacturing, GMP, and/or ISO13485 environment.\nDemonstrated understanding of export and import processes, controls, and documentation.\nExperience shipping dangerous goods.\nExperience with cold chain shipping.\nThe base pay for this position is\n$61,300.00 -
