The primary objective of this position is financial accounting, reporting, planning and analysis activities. Responsibilities include monthly accounting and reporting, Plans, LBE's, LRP's, various analysis and special projects as well as the support of internal as well as external audit and tax reporting requirements.\nWhat You’ll Work On\nFinancial accounting, reporting and analysis, including month-end activities completed timely and in compliance with Abbott's financial policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.\nFinancial planning and analysis, including development and support of Plans, LBE's and LRP's as well as consolidation activities.\nEnsures proper tracking of commitments and expenditures along with proper accounting treatment and timely capitalization of assets.\nProvides financial leadership and guidance to operations including DCF / ROI's, proper writing of RCE's and Post Completion audits as well as interpretation of the Corporate Financial Manual (CFM's) and topics as well as issues around the treatment of projects and fixed assets.\nPartners with the IT on support of financially related systems including SAP.\nEstablishes and/or enforces internal controls safeguarding Abbott's financial interest and providing guidance and counsel to operating and financial staff.\nSignificant interaction with Corporate Audit and the SOX PMO.\nManage and develops staff, including hiring, developing and training.\nSignificant involvement in strategic and cross-divisional projects and teams.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.\nMinimum 7 years relevant experience in a fast-paced work environment with frequent deadlines; ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.\nStrong verbal/communication skills along with the ability to collaborate, negotiate and build consensus.\nAbility to work in a fast paced environment while handling multiple priorities.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMasters Degree MBA or other advanced degree\nCPA or other certifications\nPrior supervisory experience\nAPPLY NOW\nLearn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives: www.abbottbenefits.com\nFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
