Among Abbott Diabetes Care leading brands are the FreeStyle Precision, FreeStyle Lite and FreeStyle Libre system.\nPlease note any offer of employment for this position is conditional upon the successful completion of a pre-employment medical examination, including drug and alcohol screening, conducted by a medical practitioner designated by the Company\nWe are seeking a Planning Team Lead for our Diabetes Division in Donegal.\nPrimary Function\nThe Planning Team Lead provides strategic leadership and coordination across manufacturing production scheduling, material and inventory planning, and new product introductions. This role is responsible for directing the Operations Planning Teams, ensuring optimal resource utilization, regulatory compliance and on time delivery to customers. This position reports to the Supply Chain Manager at ADC Donegal.\n Major Responsibilities:\nDeveloping and executing production and supply plans aligned with business goals.\n\nLeading cross-functional planning activities to support manufacturing efficiency and product availability.\n\nManaging inventory levels to balance cost, service, and risk.\n\nOverseeing the introduction of new products and new materials into the supply chain with minimal disruption.\n\nDriving continuous improvement in planning processes and systems.\n\nCollaborating with procurement, manufacturing, quality, and demand management teams to ensure alignment.\n\nMonitoring KPIs and reporting on planning performance to senior leadership.\n\nDevelopment and monitoring or MRP system and materials planning process.\n\nDevelop and manage site production and material planning processes to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.\n\nResponsibility for coordinating team responsible for the balance of production capacity, material availability, and inventory requirements.\n\nLead the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process at site level through engagement with key stakeholders.\n\nEngaging with Global Supply & local site teams to align on the long term volumes and strategic planning\n\nIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, cost, inventory, and service performance.\n\nLead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain function.\n\nPartner closely with Production, Operations, Quality, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and other key stakeholders.\n\nBuild an effective team.\n\nProvide clear direction and define priorities.\n\nProvide day-to-day guidance and support to planning team members.\n\nHelp allocate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to planning timelines.\n\nSupport onboarding and training of new team members.\n\nFoster a collaborative and proactive team environment.\n\nFoster a culture of accountability and data-driven decision-making.\n\nEnsure Environmental, Health & Safety standards are met and all planning activities comply with EHS, Quality, and Regulatory requirements.\n\n Education and Years Experience:\nA Bachelors degree qualification, preferably in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.\n\nProfessional Certification (APICS, IIPMM or equivalent) is desirable.\n\nAt least five years’ experience in Demand Planning or Supply Chain planning within a regulated manufacturing environment.\n\nPrior experience with relevant ERP Systems (SAP, MES) is desirable.\n\nPrior experience supervising or coordinating others preferred.\n\nThe base pay for this position is\nN/AIn specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.\nJOB FAMILY:\nSupply ChainDIVISION:\nADC Diabetes CareLOCATION:\nIreland > Donegal Town : R267ADDITIONAL LOCATIONS:\nWORK SHIFT:\nIe -
