Working here will make you feel like you’re part of a family that works together to make a difference and help nourish millions of families around the world.\nWhat You’ll Work On\nIdentify and control Manufacturing process defects (scrap, nonconforming material, customer complaints) by participating in efforts/teams focused on identifying the primary root causes and implementing corrective and preventative actions.\n\nMay be responsible for querying & bounding data to support implementation of complex & documenting release criteria.\n\nDevelop product quality plans, documents and systems by creating product specifications, quality specifications and quality plans in conjunction with other product development team members.\n\nMay be responsible for creating risk analyses and FMEAs.\n\nDevelop Process Monitoring Systems by identifying critical process steps applying methods to reduce process variation in order to reduce/eliminate the cause of defects.\n\nLead process improvement efforts by identifying methods to capture quality metric data and by performing appropriate analysis methods to enhance sustaining product design and new product development.\n\nAssist in creation of Quality Tools & Training Materials by understanding the limitations of existing quality tools and training materials, and by helping to identify more effective tools & materials.\n\nCultivate a wide range of internal networks and begin to develop an extensive external network of resources to facilitate completion of tasks.\n\nMay lead a project team of moderate scope.\n\nProvide guidance to less experienced staff.\n\nAct as a mentor to lower level individual contributors.\n\nInfluence exerted at peer level and occasionally at first levels of management.\n\nPlan, organize, and prioritize own daily work routine to meet established schedule.\n\nExercise authority and judgment within defined limits to determine appropriate action.\n\nFailure to achieve results or erroneous decisions or recommendations may cause delays in program schedules and may result in the allocation of additional resources.\n\nYou’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience\n\nMinimum two years related work experience with a good understanding of specified functional area.\n\nWorking technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices and procedures.\n\nGeneral understanding of business unit/group function.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster’s Degree\n\nIn compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
