This role will serve as a contributor supporting key initiatives, working closely with physicians, systems engineers, software engineers, and clinical teams to evaluate safety and efficacy, and generate evidence that informs product development decisions.\nYou will leverage clinical and engineering knowledge to support product design, verification and validation activities, preclinical and clinical research, and data-driven decision-making throughout the development lifecycle.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nSupport development and evaluation of key therapy algorithms and ablation technologies.\nDesign, execute, and analyze bench, preclinical, and clinical studies supporting product development milestones.\nDevelop study protocols, data collection methods, and analysis plans to evaluate therapy performance and safety.\nAnalyze large datasets from preclinical and clinical studies and communicate findings to cross-functional stakeholders.\nCollaborate with physicians, clinical specialists, systems engineers, software engineers, and regulatory teams to define clinical and technical requirements.\nSupport development of design verification and validation strategies for new ablation technologies.\nSummarize study outcomes through technical reports, presentations, and regulatory documentation.\nSupport risk management activities, hazard analyses, and clinical risk assessments.\nParticipate in physician interactions, usability evaluations, and clinical observations to inform product development.\nProvide technical and clinical expertise during design reviews and cross-functional project meetings.\nGain and maintain knowledge of EP procedures, cardiac electrophysiology principles, and emerging ablation technologies.\nComply with FDA regulations, ISO standards, company policies, operating procedures, and quality system requirements.\nMaintain positive and cooperative communications with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, vendors, and healthcare professionals.\nPerform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, Biological Sciences, Medical/Clinical Sciences, or related technical discipline.\n2+ years of engineering, clinical research, medical device, or related experience.\nStrong understanding of scientific methods, experimental design, and data analysis techniques.\nDemonstrated ability to plan, execute, analyze, and document technical or clinical studies.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to diverse audiences.\nExperience working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.\nAbility to interpret technical and clinical data to support engineering decisions.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.\nExperience in electrophysiology, cardiac rhythm management, cardiovascular devices, or related medical device technologies.\nKnowledge of cardiac electrophysiology principles and ablation therapies.\nExperience working with signal processing, physiologic data analysis, or algorithm development.\nExperience supporting verification, validation, preclinical, or clinical studies.\nFamiliarity with PFA technology, cardiac mapping systems, or EP laboratory procedures.\nExperience with statistical analysis software and data visualization tools.\nExperience working within FDA-regulated and ISO-compliant medical device environments.\nExperience with requirements management and electronic document control systems (e.g., Windchill).\nExperience working within cross-functional, matrixed organizations.\nApply Now\nLearn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives:www.abbottbenefits.com\nFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
