We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Accountant who will work within the RTR team, looking after the European markets with our outsourced partners and reporting into the RTR Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is a strong communicator looking to accelerate their career within a fast paced environment , collaborate with cross functional teams , ability to work within a dynamic team but at the same time have the sense of initiative to work independently too. The successful candidate be based in the Shared Services Centre in Cherrywood Business Park, Loughlinstown, Co Dublin.In this position you will be given the opportunity to problem solve and drive process improvements
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Requirements:
Accounting Qualification - ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA;
2-3 years post qualified experience preferably with Shared Service Centre and multinational corporation background however open to practice experience with global clients.
Strong sense of initiative in change management and process improvements
Preferred Requirements
SAP or other major ERP Systems experience is desirable.
Strong Excel Skills are required for the role.
Able to work independently to understand and summarise financial data into high quality, accurate and usable summaries.
Ability to challenge the status quo and have a positive, proactive attitude.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibility for the monthly general ledger close activities for US GAAP
Review and preparation of monthly reconciliations & journals to ensure high quality compliance with US GAAP
Lead the quarterly divisional/entity Balance Sheet Reviews
Complete SOX controls in line with control matrix
Work closely with outsourced business partner
Maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders and provide information and support as needed
Ensure timely completion of Internal and External audits.
Identify opportunities for improvement of processes and lead on key team projects
