The Opportunity
This position works out of our Almatylocation in the EPD Division.
What You’ll Do
Prepare and submit tax reports on time, including Corporate Income Tax, VAT, transport tax, transfer pricing, non-resident taxation, and other tax filings.
Liaise with government authorities on tax notifications and inquiries.
Manage lease accounting in accordance with IFRS 16.
Support the implementation and maintenance of electronic document management (EDM) solutions, including integration with 1C 8.3.
Maintain fixed asset accounting, including acquisitions, transfers, disposals, inventory counts, and asset upgrades.
Support import-related transactions and ensure accurate inventory accounting through the Virtual Warehouse system.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account reviews.
Prepare reports for the National Bank and statistical authorities.
Participate in updating the company's tax and accounting policies.
Prepare tax, financial, and corporate reporting, including Affiliate Cash Tax Template, Entity Risk Summary, CFS, LBE, and other corporate reports.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
Strong knowledge of Kazakhstan tax and accounting legislation.
Professional Accountant of Kazakhstan certification.
Experience working in an international company.
Intermediate or higher English proficiency.
Hands-on experience in tax, financial, management, and corporate reporting.
Experience interacting with government authorities on tax-related matters.
Practical experience with fixed assets accounting, monthly closing, balance sheet reconciliations, and accounting operations.
Participation in process improvement or automation projects, including EDM implementation, is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail, accountability, and ability to meet deadlines.
Advanced user of 1C and Microsoft Excel.
