Our 122,000 colleagues serve people in more than 160 countries.JOB DESCRIPTION:\nPosition Overview\nThe Senior Distribution Operations Specialist acts as an operational and process lead surrounding fulfillment compliance operations regarding shipping, distribution, IATA & DOT, FMSCA, & CMV regulations. This role acts as our key SME in the defined areas to assist operations.\nEssential Duties\nInclude but are not limited to the following:\nLead daily Fleet Operations, Shipping and Distribution activities across multiple locations.\nServe as SME for DOT, FMCSA, CMV, Hazardous Materials, and Materials of Trade regulations.\nInterpret and apply 49 CFR requirements and advise leadership regarding transportation compliance risks.\nLead on-floor responses to internal and external compliance audits, working with Logistics compliance teams.\nDevelop, implement, and maintain transportation, fleet, shipping, and compliance SOPs, work instructions, and training programs, ensuring audit ready operations.\nManages fleet relationships, maintenance compliance, and vehicle lifecycle activities.\nAssists with leading shipping and distribution process improvement initiatives, and ensures operational success.\nMaintain and assists with developing deliver compliance, safety, systematic and operational training programs.\nConduct driver qualification, road assessments, competency evaluations, and quarterly compliance training.\nServe as on-floor escalation point for transportation, distribution, and compliance-related issues.\nDesign and implement ServiceNow workflow enhancements, automation projects, reporting, and dashboards.\nAssists cross-functional projects supporting logistics, warehousing, clinical operations, R&D, and business integrations.\nEnsure safe and compliant transport of specimens, materials, equipment, and temperature-sensitive products.\nMinimum Qualification\nHigh School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.\n7+ years of transportation, fleet operations, distribution, logistics, or compliance experience.\nAdvanced knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, CMV, Hazardous Materials, and Materials of Trade regulations.\nExperience leading compliance programs, audits, and regulatory initiatives.\nExperience developing SOPs, training programs, and operational workflows.\nStrong knowledge of fleet maintenance programs and transportation safety requirements.\nAdvanced experience with ServiceNow reporting, workflow management, and process automation.\nValid driver's license and ability to operate commercial vehicles as required.\nStrong analytical, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nCDL or previous CMV operating experience.\nHazardous Materials transportation experience.\nExperience supporting multi-site operations.\nLean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.\nExperience leading enterprise compliance or transportation programs.\nWe are an equal employment opportunity employer.
