This position can also be based out of our Chicago, Illinois office, if preferred.\nWhat You’ll Work On\nThe Senior Financial Analyst, Core Lab Operations, provides FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) support to the Global Manufacturing Operations team. This role oversees financial processes and activities and provides analytics to support strategic business decisions.\nConsolidates monthly results and forecasts for the Core Lab Operations teams. Prepares clear and meaningful commentary and reporting for submission to Division Headquarters.\nPrepares review materials and supporting analytics for presentation to senior leadership.\nCompletes monthly close activities including preparation of journal entries, spend / headcount review, variance analysis and month end reporting.\nConsolidates standard cost submissions from sites and collaborates with Division Headquarters to ensure alignment of standard costs and update the system.\nProvide ad hoc analysis to support key projects or other related activity as required.\nAssist in identification and implementation of process improvements and simplifications in financial and business processes.\nWork both independently and in groups in a variety of situations requiring analytical and critical thinking skills.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.\nAt least 4 years of experience in financial planning, analysis and accounting.\nProficient with financial modeling, systems, tools including Excel, Hyperion Essbase and SAP.\nStrong analytical, problem solving, variance analysis skills, accuracy and attention to detail.\nEffective communication, soft skills and prioritization of assignments.\nPreferred Qualifications\nCPA, CMA or MBA preferred.\nAPPLY NOW\nLearn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives: www.abbottbenefits.com\nFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
