This is an onsite opportunity based in Alameda, California, where you will partner with finance, operations, engineering, and manufacturing teams to deliver financial insights that support business performance and strategic decision-making. In this highly visible role, you will drive forecasting accuracy, support cost optimization initiatives, and help advance Abbott’s mission of improving the lives of people living with diabetes.\nWhat You'll Work On\nConsolidate and analyze Global TPM financial results, including P&L, balance sheet, and capital reporting.\nPrepare month-end close deliverables, variance analyses, financial commentary, and forecast submissions.\nSupport quarterly business reviews, annual planning processes, and long-range strategic financial plans.\nPartner with manufacturing sites to support standard cost setting activities and cost variance analysis.\nAnalyze and forecast Gross Margin Initiatives (GMI) and ensure accurate incorporation into financial projections.\nCollaborate with TPM Operations and Engineering teams to develop capital and project expense forecasts.\nConduct monthly reviews of capital and project spending, highlighting risks, opportunities, and performance trends to business leaders.\nCoordinate and support fixed asset processes in partnership with operations and center of excellence teams.\nIdentify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.\nDeliver actionable financial insights and perform ad hoc analyses to support business decision-making.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.\n3+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), accounting, corporate finance, or a related discipline.\nExperience preparing financial forecasts, budgets, variance analyses, and management reporting.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.\nKnowledge of financial analysis, reporting processes, and internal controls.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.\nPreferred Qualifications\n3 to 5 years of FP&A or accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.\nExperience with product costing, standard costing, or manufacturing finance.\nSAP or other ERP system experience.\nExperience supporting capital planning, project expense tracking, and fixed asset management.\nDemonstrated ability to influence business partners and effectively present financial insights to leadership.\nExperience identifying and implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.\nStrong data analytics capabilities and proficiency translating data into actionable recommendations.\nExperience supporting global operations or working within a complex, matrixed organization.\nLearn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives:www.abbottbenefits.com\nFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
