This role partners closely with Service leaders to build a high-performing workforce through leadership development, technical capability programs, succession planning, and learning strategies that drive employee growth, service excellence, and exceptional customer experiences. The Service Talent Manager serves as a key advisor to leadership while shaping talent programs that support organizational effectiveness and business growth.\nWhat You’ll Work On\nTalent & Leadership Strategy\nDevelop and execute a global Service Talent strategy aligned with business objectives.\nPartner with Service leadership to identify talent priorities, capability gaps, and workforce development needs.\nBuild leadership development frameworks that support frontline leaders, managers, and high-potential talent.\nDrive succession planning and leadership pipeline initiatives.\nServe as a trusted advisor on talent development, employee growth, and organizational effectiveness.\nLeadership Development\nDesign and implement leadership development programs for new, emerging, and experienced leaders.\nLead manager onboarding, leadership boot camps, coaching programs, and workshops.\nDevelop scalable learning solutions focused on coaching, communication, employee engagement, performance management, and change leadership.\nFacilitate leadership and executive development sessions while driving continuous improvement.\nLearning & Capability Development\nDirect global learning programs supporting onboarding, service excellence, technical capability, systems adoption, and professional development.\nEnsure learning solutions leverage adult learning principles and modern instructional design practices.\nOversee development of e-learning, virtual training, workshops, simulations, and performance support tools.\nEvaluate and implement innovative learning technologies to strengthen workforce capability.\nPerformance & Organizational Capability\nPartner with leaders to assess and address skill gaps through targeted development initiatives.\nEstablish competency models and assessment processes for service roles.\nMeasure program effectiveness using learning metrics, performance indicators, and business outcomes.\nPromote a culture of coaching, accountability, continuous learning, and continuous improvement.\nProgram & Project Management\nLead global talent and learning initiatives from strategy through implementation and evaluation.\nManage project plans, budgets, resources, and stakeholder communications.\nEnsure consistent deployment of talent programs across regions and business units.\nSupport organizational change initiatives through workforce readiness and training strategies.\nStakeholder Management\nCollaborate with Service Leadership and key stakeholders to align talent initiatives with strategic priorities.\nPresent talent insights, workforce trends, and program outcomes to leadership teams.\nInfluence decisions related to workforce development, succession planning, and organizational capability building.\nBuild strong partnerships across global and regional teams to drive scalable solutions.\nVendor Management\nManage relationships with external training providers, consultants, coaches, and learning partners.\nEvaluate, select, and onboard vendors that support leadership development and workforce capability initiatives.\nMonitor vendor performance against quality, budget, timeline, and business objectives.\nEnsure vendor-delivered solutions align with organizational learning strategies and service excellence goals.\nRequired Competencies\nLeadership development and coaching expertise.\nStrong facilitation and presentation skills.\nLearning strategy and instructional design knowledge.\nWorkforce planning and succession planning experience.\nData analysis and learning measurement expertise.\nKnowledge of change management methodologies (Prosci, ACMP, or equivalent).\nLearning Management System (LMS) experience.\nExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills.\nAbility to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, global environment.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Training & Development, Education, or a related field.\n7 to 10+ years of experience in talent development, organizational development, training, service operations, or leadership development.\nMinimum 3 to 5 years of people leadership or management experience.\nDemonstrated success leading talent development, learning, or organizational effectiveness initiatives.\nExperience supporting global or multi-region organizations.\nProven ability to influence senior leaders and drive organizational change.\nApply Now\nLearn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives:www.abbottbenefits.com\nFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
