The Sr Staff Embedded Software Engineer leads the development, verification, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to FDA-compliant design control procedures. They provide technical leadership, mentoring, and strategic advice, working independently to identify new technologies and implement process improvements. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, they ensure high-quality software delivery and contribute to the full development life cycle from specification to support.\nWhat you will do:\nLead software development, verification, and validation for embedded bio wearable products, ensuring on-time delivery within budget.\nImplement FDA-compliant design control procedures.\nProvide technical leadership and mentoring for embedded software projects.\nEnsure high-quality software delivery within schedule constraints.\nOwn technical aspects of C-based software products.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams and consultants on product development.\nInteract with QA engineers to ensure software quality.\nUtilize appropriate tools and techniques for productivity and code quality.\nResearch technical issues and propose solutions.\nParticipate in full development life cycle from specification to support.\nResolve significant technical issues and provide strategic advice.\nLead technical teams and develop cross-functional networks.\nAdjust priorities and collaborate within team environments to meet project objectives.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering Mathematics, or related field, with 10+ years of experience, master’s degree with 7+ years of related experience, or Ph.D. with 2+ years of related experience.\nGood knowledge of software engineering principles required.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.\nProgramming experience in C programming languages required.\nExperience with structured software development and/or Object Modeling Design experience required.\nExperience with software development of embedded systems for safety-critical products required.\nStrong debugging techniques and experience of using debuggers in an embedded environment is required.\nExcellent troubleshooting skills.\nKnowledgeable of device driver and low-level device interface design and development is required.\nExperience in model-based design (UML or SysML), is highly desirable.\nDetailed experience with medical device development processes and FDA 510K and PMA regulatory requirement.\nGood knowledge of and experience in RF and BLE software design, device driver configuration, and tests are preferred.\nPreferred team leadership experience and demonstrated mentorship capabilities.\nExperience with Source Control Management is highly preferred.\nExperience with testing embedded devices is a strong plus.\nThe base pay for this position is\n$130,700.00 -
