M-F, 5:45 am - 2:15 pm.\nThis position is primarily responsible for the day-to-day operation and organization of the Tool Crib (approximately 70% of the role), ensuring tools, equipment, and consumables are properly issued, tracked, maintained, and available to support warehouse and maintenance operations. Secondarily (approximately 30% of the role), this position supports the delivery driver team by completing scheduled and as-needed deliveries.\nWhat You’ll Work On\nPrimary Responsibilities - Tool Crib (40%)\nManage the daily operation of the Tool Crib, including issuing, receiving, tracking, and returning tools and equipment\nMaintain accurate inventory records of tools, equipment, and consumables\nInspect tools and equipment for damage, wear, or safety concerns and remove unsafe tools from service\nCoordinate repair, calibration, or replacement of tools as required\nEnsure proper cleaning, organization, and storage of tools and equipment\nMonitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to leadership\nEnforce tool control procedures and accountability standards\nSupport maintenance and operations teams with timely access to required tools\nMaintain Tool Crib housekeeping and safety standards\nSecondary Responsibilities - Delivery Driver (60%)\nPerform local deliveries and pickups as assigned\nLoad, secure, and transport packages, materials, or equipment safely\nOperate company vehicles in accordance with company policies and traffic laws\nComplete all required delivery documentation accurately and on time\nCommunicate delivery status, delays, or issues to supervision\nAssist with warehouse and operational tasks when not performing deliveries\nRequired Qualifications\nValid Class C Driver’s Licenseissued by the State of Illinois.\nHigh school diploma or GED required\nPrevious experience in a tool crib, warehouse, maintenance, or inventory role preferred\nValid driver’s license with a clean driving record\nBasic computer skills; experience with inventory systems or CMMS preferred\nStrong organizational skillsand attention to detail\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities\nPreferred Qualifications\nAbility to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday\nAbility to work in warehouse, shop, and outdoor environments\nLearn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives: www.abbottbenefits.com\nFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
