Working with minimal supervision, you will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to develop innovative solutions, manage project execution, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.\nWhat You'll Work On\nLead the planning, development, execution, and closeout of engineering projects across manufacturing, process, equipment, facility, and system environments.\nDevelop project charters, define project requirements, establish objectives, and create comprehensive project plans.\nManage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining budget, schedule, scope, and quality commitments.\nCoordinate and direct internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives.\nUtilize project management tools and methodologies, including front-end planning, cash flow forecasting, risk management, and change control processes.\nIdentify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve issues impacting project delivery.\nSupport the design and implementation of products, processes, equipment, facilities, and systems while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and customer requirements.\nEvaluate technical alternatives through cost-benefit analysis and drive practical, innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.\nPrepare and manage project documentation, including capital expenditure requests, scope documents, procurement packages, and validation activities.\nEnsure compliance with quality, environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.\nBuild strong relationships with cross-functional business partners and serve as a trusted advisor on engineering and project-related matters.\nMentor colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and project management best practices.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a closely related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.\nMinimum of 8 years of engineering, manufacturing, operations, or project management experience.\nDemonstrated success leading engineering projects from initiation through completion.\nStrong project management skills, including scope, schedule, budget, resource, and risk management.\nExperience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nProven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, contractors, suppliers, and business stakeholders.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.\nExperience with financial planning, budget management, and fiscal controls.\nExcellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.\nAbility to influence stakeholders, negotiate solutions, and drive project outcomes with minimal supervision.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.\nExperience within healthcare, medical device, diagnostics, pharmaceutical, nutritional products, or other regulated manufacturing industries.\nKnowledge of capital project delivery, procurement, contracting, and supplier management processes.\nFamiliarity with engineering design, validation, commissioning, and operational readiness activities.\nExperience implementing project management best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management credentials.\nDemonstrated experience supporting Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), quality, and regulatory compliance requirements.\nExperience mentoring engineers, technical professionals, or project team members.\nLearn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives:www.abbottbenefits.com\nFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
