Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.\nWhat You’ll Work On\nThe Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, development, verification, and sustaining of electronic systems and circuits that support Abbott Neuromodulation products. This role provides technical leadership across the product development lifecycle, from prototype through design transfer, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, high-quality medical device solutions.\nServes as a technical lead and key contributor in the design and development of implantable and external electronic systems for neuromodulation products.\n\nDesigns, analyzes, and documents analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power management circuits, including schematic capture, component selection, and PCB layout guidance.\n\nDevelops and executes characterization, verification, and validation test strategies to ensure products meet performance, reliability, and regulatory requirements.\n\nCollaborates closely with systems, firmware, mechanical, quality, manufacturing, and regulatory teams throughout the product development process.\n\nInvestigates complex technical challenges, performs root cause analysis, and implements effective corrective actions to support product development and sustaining activities.\n\nPartners with suppliers and manufacturing organizations to support component selection, design for manufacturability, and successful product transfer to production.\n\nEffectively communicates technical information, project status, risks, and recommendations across all levels of the organization to support informed decision-making.\n\nMinium Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline\n\nMinimum 5 years of experience in electrical/electronic engineering or related field\n\nStrong technical experience in electronic circuit design, development, and verification\n\nExperience with schematic capture, PCB development, and circuit debugging\n\nExperience developing and executing characterization, verification, and validation testing for electronic systems\n\nExperience working in a regulated product development environment\n\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n7+ years of experience in product development of complex electronic systems\n\nExperience developing Class III medical devices\n\nExperience with analog, digital, mixed-signal, and low-power circuit design\n\nExperience developing automated test solutions using C#, Python, or similar tools\n\nExperience with reliability testing of electronic systems.\n\nExperience working with cross-functional product development teams throughout the product lifecycle\n\nApply Now\nLearn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives:www.abbottbenefits.com\nFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
