This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.\nAbbott Diabetes Care (ADC) is seeking a Senior Project Leader to join the Business Enablement PMO, which is responsible for program leadership of projects aimed at delivering a unified, consistent and best-in-class digital customer experience. As a leader in the PMO you will drive complex projects aimed to improve customer NPS, acquisition and retention targets while increasing operational efficiencies. Projects may include:\nStrategic roadmap planning and portfolio management to align platform priorities with business priorities, product strategy, and long-term organizational goals\n\nCross-functional planning and dependency management across Product, Engineering, Business Relationship Managers, and delivery teams to identify interdependencies, coordinate execution, and proactively monitor risks\n\nPlatform governance and operational excellence initiatives to improve planning processes, portfolio visibility, intake, prioritization, and overall platform effectiveness\n\nRisk management and release readiness initiatives to identify delivery risks, assess business impacts, and enable predictable, successful platform release\n\nAs Senior Project Leader, you will work with a cross functional team to set strategy, evaluate ideas, prioritize features, define releases, manage product roadmap, timelines, and budget while coordinating with cross functional ADC and Abbott team members worldwide. You will be responsible for reporting project status and progress to ADC senior Management.\nWhat You’ll Work On\nFormulates, harmonizes and consolidates project scopes, plans, strategies, and budgets for one or more projects, working closely with functional Project Managers and other Subject Matter Experts from IT, Commercial, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing, and other functions.\n\nConfirms the ongoing strategic rationale and value proposition for projects\n\nLeads project planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting of projects.\n\nEnsures Division-wide thinking and problem-solving are incorporated into project execution.\n\nDrives for resolution in cross-functional problem solving, communication, and integration.\n\nLiaises with other Project Owners, functional managers, and management to prioritize activities across programs to balance resource availability, program deliverables and schedule, and business needs.\n\nLiaises with other Project Owners, functional managers, and management to monitor business processes\n\nPrioritizes activities across programs to balance resource availability, program deliverables and schedule, and business needs.\n\nExecutes programs to completion and assures successful market entry, or makes a timely recommendation to Management to terminate a program if required by technical, commercial or other developments that may result in project failure if not resolved through creative problem solving.\n\nIdentifies areas for process improvement, and defines and implements solutions, liaising with other stakeholders such as Project Owners, functional managers and senior management as appropriate\n\nEnsures that the cross-functional members work as a “team” focused on business unit goals identified and managing program and solution interdependencies.\n\nHas the flexibility to quickly adapt and produce in a rapidly changing environment, meeting aggressive product launch schedules\n\nChampions PMO best practices to drive better project planning, execution, project prioritization and change management within Commercial Programs\n\nConducts Program Review Meetings with Affiliates and Provide Regular updates\n\nSupports Product Roll Outs and Geo Expansion Projects\n\nEstablishes and monitors KPIs to assess delivery performance\n\nDevelops strategy, prioritization, and plans for improving consumer experiences in hardware, mobile / web products and services\n\nAccountability / Scope / Budget\nResponsible for strategic scoping, value definition, and successful and timely implementation of system launch related projects\nHighly visible and accountable for liaising with senior management in driving alignment on key decisions, and reporting to senior management on project status\nAccountable for driving scope, budget, and quality tradeoffs, not only for a given project, but across portfolio in conjunction with other stakeholders to optimize portfolio value creation\nHas limited direct fiscal responsibility for departmental expenses, but has indirect responsibility, along with departmental budget holders, for ensuring that functional budgets are consistent with project scope and plans\nGenerally, does not have direct reports, but will lead a matrix team with a high degree of accountability to ensure that team is appropriately resourced and that team members are defining plans and adhering to commitments\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in a discipline appropriate to the project or an equivalent combination of education and work experience\n\nMinimum 8 years of related work experience.\n\nHas successfully led several high complexity projects from beginning to end.\n\nDemonstrated technical skills and management judgment appropriate to the project.\n\nDemonstrated expertise in PM tools and processes.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in IT or engineering discipline with 10 years of relevant experience as R&D, QA or IT leader, project manager, or product owner\n\nExperience with software development of complex systems including experience with Web applications or App Development Projects/Programs\n\nDigital Experience in Medical Device or Healthcare\n\nExperience with customer service enablement or QA investigation tools\n\nStrong technical experience in cross-functional global program management and team leadership.\n\nAdditional cross-functional experience in the areas of IT, Systems Engineering, Product ownership, Operations, R&D, Commercial, Quality, are desirable.\n\nExperience in privacy topics such as Medical Health Records and sensitive data processing\n\nRequire the ability to collect information from multiple sources, synthesize, integrate, and resolve conflicting requirements and cross-functional issues\n\nUnderstand the fundamental solution being developed/deployed -
