This role will design, develop, test, and maintain software components of moderate complexity with the general instruction from senior engineers and drive tasks to completion. This role will leverage well-developed professional and technical expertise to work collaboratively on cross-functional agile teams to deliver high quality software.\nWhat You'll Work On\nApply solid software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices to develop and maintain Java-based applications of moderate to high complexity.\nDesign, develop, and test scalable features and services with minimal supervision. Investigate and resolve complex bugs and performance issues.\nParticipate in architectural discussions and contribute to the evaluation of design alternatives, providing input that balances technical quality, business value, and delivery timelines.\nProactively communicate tasks progress, technical challenges, and risks to project stakeholders and engineering leadership.\nCollaborate cross-functionality with product managers, QA engineers, DevOps, and other technical teams to deliver high-quality, maintainable solutions.\nFollow and help improve the team’s development processes, ensuring alignment with the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and engineering standards.\nAssist with deployments and provide production support, including occasional night or weekend availability when required.\nDemonstrate and promote the company’s values of accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork through your work and interactions.\nUphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and at least 4 years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.\nHands-on experience in one or more object-oriented programming languages, with a strong preference for Java; capable of writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.\nSome experience with service communication protocols, such as RESTful APIs, gRPC, SOAP, and messaging systems (e.g., message queues and event-driven architectures).\nProficient in working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL with hands-on experience using ORM technologies like JPA (Java Persistence API) and Hibernate.\nHands-on experience building and managing cloud-based API solutions on AWS (preferred), GCP, or Azure, with a solid understanding of cloud-native design principles and services.\nExperience working in Scrum teams, with a strong understanding of Agile principles and development tools, including JIRA and Confluence.\nLegal authorization to work in the country of employment without current or future sponsorship. \nPreferred Qualifications\nFamiliar with EHR systems in a healthcare environment.\nSome knowledge with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR.\nBasic understanding of DevOps practices, including building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.\nThe base pay for this position is\n$61,300.00 -
