Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics around the globe. The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments, and informatics systems is often the first step in patient care decision-making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers.\nThe Senior Business Analyst will serve as the primary business-analysis contributor and a key liaison among business stakeholders, Product Management, customers, and software development teams. This individual will independently own and drive complex discovery and analysis activities for assigned software products and capabilities. TheSenior Business Analyst will also work across Global Marketing, Research & Development, Information Technology, Quality, Operations, Regulatory, and Business Development to deliver software solutions that provide measurable value to customers.\nThe Senior Business Analyst serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving the successful delivery of software solutions across Global Marketing, R&D, IT, Quality, Operations, Regulatory, and Business Development.\nWhat You’ll Work On\nLead requirements discovery and analysis activities with business stakeholders, product managers, subject matter experts, customers, and technical teams.\nAnalyze business processes, system interactions, user workflows, and operational data to identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.\nElicit, document, manage, and maintain business, functional, non-functional, and system requirements.\nDevelop user stories, use cases, process flows, requirements specifications, acceptance criteria, and other analysis artifacts.\nCollaborate with Product Management, Architecture, UX, Engineering, Quality, and Regulatory teams to define scalable and compliant software solutions.\nManage requirements traceability, scope, and change control throughout the SDLC.\nAssess and communicate the impact of requirement changes on project scope, timelines, risks, quality, and cost.\nFacilitate stakeholder alignment by resolving competing priorities, clarifying business objectives, and recommending data-driven solutions.\nSupport Agile product planning, backlog refinement, prioritization, release readiness, and post-release activities.\nLead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution to validate solutions against business requirements.\nPartner with Quality Assurance teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and alignment with approved requirements.\nIdentify risks, dependencies, and compliance considerations while ensuring adherence to quality system and regulatory requirements.\nIndependently manage requirements and analysis activities across multiple concurrent initiatives and product releases.\nBuild strong partnerships across business and technical teams while contributing best practices for business analysis and product delivery.\nRequired Qualifications\nAssociates Degree\n7 or more years of experience\nPreferredQualifications\nStrong written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.\nBachelor's Degree or higher level of education.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.\nDemonstrated ability to lead requirements-definition activities for complex software products or enterprise applications.\nExperience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.\nExperience with medical devices, healthcare software, diagnostic products, or clinical laboratory workflows is preferred.\nExperience documenting user needs, product requirements, software requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and workflow diagrams.\nExperience supporting on-market software products, software releases, and customer-reported issues. \nExperience with requirements traceability, change control, design controls, verification and validation, or other regulated-product-development practices is preferred.\nExperience with Jira, Jama, Confluence, Lucid chart, or similar product-development and requirements-management tools.\nExperience with business-intelligence or data-visualization tools is preferred.\nLearn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives: https://abbottbenefits.com/\nFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
