Our Abbott Rapid & Molecular Diagnostics site in Orlando is part of Global Business Services. This group is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences and creating business value through compliance, standardization, and data analytics. We foster a collaborative, team-focused environment where employees are encouraged to develop and excel.\nAs an Accounting Supervisor, you’ll oversee the accounting operations for multiple entities, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations. You’ll also drive process improvements, implement new accounting technologies, and lead projects.\nWhat You’ll Work On\nDirect the day-to-day operations of direct reports\nRecruit, train and provide development, performance management, supervision, and mentoring for the accounting team\nEnsures that proper internal controls are operating effectively\nResponsible for the implementation of new controls as needed\nBuild and enhance relationships with internal business\nVerify accuracy of accounting entries and proper reporting of financial results\nReview and analyze financial statements and trends\nIdentify areas that need improvement and take action to bring improvements to life\nSupport ad-hoc requests by business leadership\nEnsure a timely and accurate upload to the corporate consolidation system (Hyperion)\nOversee preparation and submission of monthly & quarterly corporate packages\nDesign reports & analytical measures to report and improve on performance metrics\nSupport the financial planning and analysis team with the budget & forecast processes\nParticipate in all Site Audits and develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external auditors\nMaintain the month end documentation to comply with GAAP\nManage multiple priorities and demands under tight timelines\nCollaborate with the other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives\nMonitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy\nAdvise staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions\nRequired Qualifications\nBS in Accounting / Finance required; CPA and/or MBA preferred.\n5+ years accounting/financial planning and analysis experience required\n3+ years leading teams or projects\nAdvanced experience in Excel and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Access, Word, Powerpoint\nPreferred Qualifications\nThorough knowledge of accounting principles, standards and regulations\nExperience with accounting software and databases\nSuperior data management and data analysis skills\nStrong work ethic, uncompromising integrity\nExcellent attention to detail\nWell-organized, highly accountable, and self-motivated\nExcellent analytical insight, prioritization, and problem-solving skills\nStrong oral, written, and interpersonal skills\nExperience presenting and analyzing large quantities of data with strong spreadsheet and/or database query experience\nAble to manage multiple, competing priorities while maintaining data accuracy and meeting deadlines\nAction-oriented individual with the perseverance to push high value projects through to completion\nExtensive experience with SAP, SAGE and HFM preferred\nBusiness Analytics tool experience (PowerBI preferred)\nLearn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives:www.abbottbenefits.com\nFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
