The Data Scientist role is a key role to enable application of advanced analytics techniques across clinical development continuum. Drives Analytics innovation and experimentation to enable data-driven insights for complex business problems across R&D by deploying advanced analytics techniques like Machine Learning and Visual Analytics.\nResponsibilities\nFor assigned projects, works with the cross-functional team to enable fit-for-purpose analytics solutions.\nWorks with team to ensure analytical work product is consistent across projects where appropriate and that user experience is optimized and follows the design principles and standards established by the team\nLeverages proven statistical methodologies and those methodologies established as standard by the team; in addition to leveraging proven statistical methodologies and standards established by the team, experiments and recommends additional techniques to solve business problems\nEnables data-driven insights to support of assigned projects\nIf assigned, participates in functional innovation and process improvement initiatives;\nEnsures adherence to federal regulations and applicable local regulations, Good Clinical Practices (GCPs), ICH Guidelines, AbbVie Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and to functional quality standards.\nIdentify business needs and support the creation of standard KPIs, reports, and statistical analyses\n Bachelor’s degree statistics, analytics, bioinformatics, data science or equivalent field. Master’s degree preferred\nMust have 2-3 years of Data science and analytics-related experience\nComplete or Full / Career proficiency in R, Python, SQL, or other statistical packages. Intermediate-level knowledge of statistical and data mining techniques\nIntermediate proficiency with visualization tools like Spotfire, Tableau, Microstrategy or equivalent\nExperience with Machine Learning and other advanced analytics techniques preferred\nDemonstrated effective communication skills.
