This role evaluates material supply, capacity constraints, inventory health, and planning risks to ensure production commitments can be achieved. The position partners closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Warehouse Operations, Finance, Quality, and Supply Chain Planning to identify risks early, drive mitigation activities, and support operational decision-making.\nKey Responsibilities\nMaterial Planning & Readiness\nOwn material availability across all production plans and manufacturing schedules.\nReview material requirements versus inventory, open purchase orders, and supplier commitments.\nIdentify current and future shortages impacting production schedules.\nPartner with Procurement to drive material readiness and escalation activities.\nMonitor inventory health and recommend actions to prevent both shortages and excess inventory. \nCapacity Planning\nDevelop and maintain capacity models for production resources and critical constraints.\nEvaluate labor, equipment, warehouse, sterilization, and supplier capacity requirements.\nAnalyze short-term and long-term capacity gaps.\nSupport scenario planning and capacity trade-off decisions.\nCommunicate capacity risks and recommended mitigation plans to leadership. \nSafety Stock & Inventory Strategy\nOwn safety stock settings, methodology, and governance.\nMonitor inventory performance and service-level attainment.\nRecommend inventory parameter adjustments based on demand variability and lead-time changes.\nSupport inventory optimization initiatives while maintaining supply continuity.\nReview inventory trends and identify opportunities to improve inventory turns and inventory health. \nRisk Management & Analytics\nIdentify material, capacity, and supply risks that could impact customer commitments.\nMaintain planning dashboards and readiness metrics.\nLead root cause analysis for recurring shortages and planning disruptions.\nProvide proactive reporting of production red flags and risk indicators.\nSupport monthly and quarterly business reviews with planning and inventory analysis. \nCross-Functional Partnership\nPartner with the Master Planner to ensure executable production schedules.\nCollaborate with Warehouse Operations regarding inventory availability and material flow.\nWork closely with Procurement on supplier performance and supply continuity.\nPartner with Finance on inventory value, budget planning, and working capital initiatives.\nParticipate in tier meetings and planning reviews to support site decision-making. \n Required\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.\n3-7 years of supply chain, planning, materials management, or manufacturing planning experience.\nExperience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel capability.\nPreferred\nAPICS/ASCM CPIM certification.\nMedical device, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing experience.\nExperience with MRP, capacity planning, inventory optimization, and production planning.\nExperience developing dashboards and planning metrics.\n Applicable only to applicants applying to a position in any location with pay disclosure requirements under state or local law:\nThe compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position.
