Reporting to the Senior Packaging Manager, you’ll oversee teams and resources across visual inspection, capping, HSGA, Drop Gauge and packaging activities.\nYou’ll help deliver production plans while maintaining high standards for safety, quality and productivity. You’ll also support compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and company policies, and foster a positive, collaborative team environment.\nThis role is working Night shift, Monday - Friday so ability to do this shift pattern is essential.\nWhat you’ll do\nLead day-to-day shift operations and resource planning for the Visual Inspection and Packaging team.\nSupervise packaging activities to ensure work follows approved instructions and schedules, making effective use of people and equipment to meet production plans.\nCoordinate the release and use of packaging components and production supplies, supporting efficient utilization and minimizing downtime.\nSupport employee training and ensure required regulatory training and qualifications are completed; partner with the Packaging Analyst to track qualifications.\nPromote compliance with safety requirements and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) standards.\nProvide leadership, guidance and motivation, encouraging positive employee relations and effective teamwork.\nSupport the Department Manager in improving processes, product quality, productivity and cost efficiency.\nCoordinate packaging-related activities with partner functions, including Materials, Finance, Human Resources and Engineering.\nReview batch record documentation before batch commencement and make or recommend corrections as needed.\nDevelop, review and recommend updates to packaging procedures and protocols; evaluate results and provide recommendations.\nCoach and mentor team members, supporting career development, continuous learning and open communication.\nAddress employee performance and conduct matters in line with company policies, including counseling and recommending appropriate personnel actions.\n A third-level degree in a relevant discipline.\nTwo to five years of experience in a supervisory role.\nAt least two years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.\nExperience working in an inspection or packaging environment.\nA clear understanding of working in a regulated environment.\nStrong organizational, leadership, communication and motivational skills\n AbbVie is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to operating with integrity, driving innovation, transforming lives and serving our community.
