During a 12 month Max Term Contract, you will develop meaningful relationships with Medicines Australia and other relevant external stakeholders and maintain strong networks across affiliate functions, above-country teams, and senior leadership, translating complex policy landscapes into actionable strategic insights that support AbbVie's broader business and reimbursement objectives.\n KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nLead the policy project team to ensure a sustainable model of monitoring, scanning and prioritising issues.\nCo-ordinate and drive development of policy positions and lead proactive projects and strategic initiatives to further AbbVie’s policy priorities.\nLead and co-ordinate Government and other consultation responses on priority policy issues.\nEngage in relevant market access and pipeline-related activities to support reimbursement strategy and submissions while contributing insights relating to broader policy issues.\nSupport the delivery of advocacy projects in collaboration with Corporate Affairs and cross functional teams aligned to strategic priorities.\nMaintain a deep understanding of current and emerging policy trends through engagement with external stakeholders and support translation into strategic insights.\nSupport the preparation and delivery of policy-related briefings for internal stakeholders including AMT, affiliate functions, and above-country as required.\nBuild and maintain effective internal networks to ensure alignment of AbbVie policy positions and drive execution of strategic initiatives.\nParticipate in Medicines Australia and multi-company task force initiatives where relevant.\nReport any adverse event within 24 hours as per Allergan’s policies and procedures.\nProactively participate in AbbVie’s WHS programs, adhere to policies and always promote a safe work environment.\nAdhere to AbbVie’s internal codes of conduct and compliance processes.\nOther ad hoc duties such as administrative duties, as requested.\n Strategic thinking.\nAbility to identify policy issues and develop strategic policy positions.\nAbility to transform evidence into policy and associated advocacy.\nSuperior communication skills (written and verbal).\nExcellent project management and organisational skills.\nStrong teamwork/collaboration skills.\nCommercial acumen.\nExperience working in policy development and advocacy.\nAbility to translate external policy settings into AbbVie strategy and business impact.\nKnowledge of the Australian political system, health policy landscape and factors that influence policy direction and reform.\nWorking knowledge of public policy cycles, including public policy institutions and instruments.\nStrong knowledge of the AU market access and pricing system and knowledge of international access systems.\nFlexibility and Availability: In line with Australia’s 'Right to Disconnect' legislation, we recognize and respect employees' right to refuse contact outside of their working hours, unless such refusal is deemed unreasonable.
