The role establishes and maintains consistent project management practices, supports prioritization and decision-making, and ensures delivery against agreed milestones, scope, and timelines. The position also leads cross-functional collaboration, facilitates stakeholder communication, and oversees assigned projects to support effective execution and alignment with business objectives.\nLeads the CDQ PMO function coordinating project managers and resources to drive function and enterprise-wide project success and ensure cross-functional alignment\nEstablish and maintain project governance, prioritization, and reporting processes across assigned cross-functional teams and CDQ Functional Teams.\nTranslate PMO and business priorities into clear execution plans, milestones, dependencies, and tracking mechanisms.\nMonitor project progress, risks, issues, actions, and dependencies; escalate blockers, decisions, and resource needs as appropriate.\nDevelop and maintain standard templates, tools, dashboards, and metrics to support consistent program management practices.\nLead and coordinate cross-functional teams to support the execution of complex programs, including planning, implementation, and budget tracking where applicable.\nEnsure timely, clear, and consistent communication to stakeholders, including senior leadership, on program status, risks, decisions, and next steps.\nSupport the development and rollout of standard program management processes, training, and ways of working across the organization.\nFacilitate governance forums, communities of practice, and communication channels that enable alignment and knowledge sharing.\nOversee assigned team members, including workload coordination and support for delivery of their responsibilities.\nMaintain alignment with relevant project standards, business requirements, and organizational governance expectations.\nSupport continuous improvement of project management processes, tools, and operating rhythms.\n Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.\n10+ years of relevant industry experience, including 5+ years in program or project management.\nDemonstrated experience managing large, complex, cross-functional projects in a pharmaceutical or similarly regulated environment.\nStrong knowledge of GMP manufacturing, supply chain, CMC technical development, and pharmaceutical regulations.\nProven ability to develop governance models, manage priorities, and drive execution across multiple stakeholders.\nStrong communication, organization, analytical, presentation, and interpersonal skills.\nDemonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and influence cross-functional teams and technical experts.\nAbility to understand technical aspects of complex systems and contribute to detailed problem-solving discussions.\n AbbVie is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to operating with integrity, driving innovation, transforming lives and serving our community.
