Situated in Stockholm, in this role you will work with hospitals and private clinics across Sweden region as part of a collaborative Nordic team. The role offers direct involvement in clinical research operations, site engagement, and study execution. The position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build trusted relationships with sites.\nThe purpose of the role is to advance AbbVie’s pipeline by striving for excellence in clinical research, turning science into medicine for patients, and leveraging advanced capabilities to drive strong performance. The Senior CRA will partner with investigators and site staff to ensure effective trial delivery, data integrity, compliance, patient safety, and a positive site experience. The Senior CRA will partner with investigators and site staff to ensure effective trial delivery, data integrity, compliance, patient safety, and positive site experience.\nKey responsibilities:\nServe as a main point of contact for investigative sites\nBuild and maintain strong working relationships with site staff and investigators\nConduct site engagement calls and regular site contact\nSupport site monitoring activities to ensure protocol compliance and quality conduct of the trial\nParticipate in site evaluation, site training, routine monitoring, and site closure activities\nHelp sites understand the study protocol, treatment principles, and operational expectations\nEncourage recruitment and retention by supporting patient identification and site engagement\nUse local knowledge, central monitoring insights, and CRM tools to track progress and site performance\nIdentify, assess, and recommend potential investigators and sites\nEnsure data quality, timely data submission, and follow-up of safety events\nAlways support audit and inspection readiness\nFollow up on corrective and preventive actions where needed\nContribute to global and local initiatives\nMentoring of junior CRAs\nWhat the role involves:\nThe role combines site relationship management, scientific understanding, operational execution, and patient recruitment support. The Senior CRA will need to work across several protocols at once, and there may be periods of high intensity depending on study activity and site needs. While there will be regular site visits, the role also includes office-based work, answering site questions, supporting the global study team, and managing site issues proactively\n You are today working as a Senior CRA or alternatively ready to take the next step to a Senior CRA role. The ideal candidate is thorough, self-motivated, collaborative, and customer focused. You are comfortable in a fast-paced, but highly regulated environment, enjoy working with people, and can think critically to solve issues. In addition, you have:\nDegree in pharmacy, biomedicine, nursing, medicine, or another science-related discipline\nKnowledge of therapeutic areas and the ability to apply scientific concepts to clinical trial conduct\nStrong planning, organisational, and time-management skills\nAbility to work effectively in a dynamic environment with competing priorities and deadlines\nStrong interpersonal skills - written, verbal, and listening skills.\nComfortable using systems, tools, and technology to support site needs\nAble to build trusted relationships through engagement, training, and motivation\nFluent in Swedish and English\nValid driver’s licence\nWillingness to travel (up to 50%).\nNice to have but not essential:\nExperience in clinical research monitoring of investigational drug or device trials\nFamiliarity with onsite and offsite monitoring and risk-based monitoring approaches\nUnderstanding local regulatory and legal requirements, ICH/GCP guidelines, and applicable policies.\nAI literacy.\n This is a hybrid office-based position at the wonderful Forskaren building in Stockholm.
