A collaborative culture that encourages us to challenge one another, learn together, and deliver strong performance year after year.\nOVERVIEW\nWe are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our five-person Core Platform team.\nCore Platform designs and develops the technical foundations used by software and data engineers across ABC arbitrage and enables them to focus on their business challenges while relying on robust, performant and scalable platforms.\nIts scope includes compute infrastructure, data systems, messaging, internal frameworks and APIs, as well asdeveloper tooling designed to accelerate the development and operation of applications.\nC#/.NET is the primary technology used to build our platform, while Python is a first-class interface to it.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\nAs a Core Platform engineer, you will:\nDesign and build core services, frameworks and libraries, primarily in C#/.NET, used across ABC arbitrage\nDesign and maintain Python libraries, SDKs and integration layers used by our Data & Research ecosystem\nWork on a broad range of technical domains, including distributed computing, data infrastructure, messaging and internal APIs\nBuild tools and abstractions that hide infrastructure complexity and improve developer productivity and experience\nDesign APIs and interfaces that provide a consistent and idiomatic experience across C# and Python\nSolve challenging problems around performance, security, reliability, scalability and distributed systems\nWork closely with the engineers using the platform to understand their needs and turn them into reusable capabilities\nTake ownership of technical topics from architecture and design through implementation and production\nInvestigate complex production issues and design sustainable solutions\nContribute to engineering standards, code reviews and knowledge sharing across the team \nOur technology landscape include:\nC#, Python, SQL, Cassandra, Redis, Mimir, Loki, Grafana, Airflow, Parquet/Iceberg, AWS (S3, Batch, EKS, Athena…), Kubernetes, Argo CD, Flux CD, GitLab, GitHub, Codex\nWe operate across both on-premise and cloud infrastructures and design our systems with performance, reliability and scalability in mind.\nWe also have a long history of building and contributing to open-source software.\n\nABOUT YOU\nYou have5 to 8 years of professional software development experience and enjoy tackling technically challenging problems.\nWe care more about strong software engineering fundamentals and your ability to learn than about expertise in a specific language or framework.\nWe would particularly like to meet you if:\nYou have strong experience building backend or systems software in a modern language such as C#, C++, Rust, Go or Java\nYou understand the challenges ofdistributed systems, concurrency and software performance\nYou care about API design, clean abstractions and developer experience\nYou value code quality, automated testing, maintainability and backward compatibility\nYou can take ownership of a technical problem from its initial design to its operation in production\nYou value code reviews, technical discussions and knowledge sharing\nYou don't need to be a C#/.NET expert when you join us, but you should be motivated to learn C# and .NET. Familiarity with Python is valuable given its central role in our Data & Research ecosystem.\nExperience with platform engineering, developer tooling, distributed computing, data infrastructure or performance-sensitive software would be a strong plus.\nPrevious experience in finance is not required.\nThis offer describes the ideal profile.
