This role ensures robust, secure, and compliant payment processing solutions by overseeing test planning, execution, automation, and compliance with regulatory and security standards. The incumbent collaborates with product, development, and operations teams to deliver high-quality solutions supporting business objectives.\nThe candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions:\nTesting Coordination and Execution:\nDevelop, publish, and execute test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, automation scripts, virtualisation, status reports, defect and exit reports.\nIdentify and obtain required test data and test environments.\nDevelop, publish, and execute testing estimates and manage financials related to testing activities.\nTrack and report QA/QE metrics and KPIs such as velocity and defect slippage.\nDefect and Compliance Management:\nManage defects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.\nIdentify, manage, and implement remediation for any noncompliance items and deviations.\nEnsure adherence to QA/QE standards and support the implementation of new standards.\nRecognise and identify areas for process, policy, or tool improvement.\nTechnical Leadership:\nProvide input, feedback, and challenge to technical designs and assess impacts to testing.\nIdentify and implement automation, AI, or other emerging solutions to expedite testing and improve quality.\nLead the adoption of automation frameworks and tools.\nCross-Functional Relationship:\nCollaborates with project managers, business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to coordinate testing activities and ensure alignment with project objectives.\nWorks closely with development teams to provide feedback on technical designs and assess testing impacts.\nInteracts with external vendors and tool providers to evaluate and integrate testing solutions.\nPartners with other QA/QE professionals across the organisation to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.\nCompliance Requirements/Responsibilities:\nAs an employee of CIBC, the incumbent must comply with all applicable CIBC and Line of Business policies, standards, guidelines, and controls.\nAuthorities/Decision Rights:\nAs a key contributor to the business unit, this job has the authority to recommend changes to business processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.\nJob Dimensions:\nResponsible for the delivery of testing services for assigned projects/initiatives, supporting retail banking, mobile, web-based, UX, API, and accessibility testing.\nProvides technical and process leadership to ensure quality standards are met.\nSupports achievement of business unit goals through effective quality engineering and testing practices.\nRequirements:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.\n3+ years of QA/QE experience, 1-3 years of development/automation.\nBanking applications, API/web services, databases, integrations.\nMust-have skills:\nAPI testing (REST, SOAP, gRPC).\nAutomation tools (Postman, Parasoft SOAtest, REST Assured, Karate).\nProgramming in Python, Java, or JavaScript.\nDatabase testing (SQL/NoSQL), ETL testing.\nService virtualisation.\nVersion control (Git), CI/CD integration.\nTest management tools (JIRA, ALM).\nQA Fundamentals is must to have skill.\nNice to have:\nMQ, Solace, batch testing, UNIX.\nExperience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).\nPerformance testing tools (JMeter, NeoLoad).\nSecurity testing (OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite).\nFamiliarity with microservices, containerization (Docker,
