This role oversees day-to-day accounting activities and plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and continuous process improvement across domestic and international operations. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who enjoys managing people, owning complex accounting areas, and partnering cross-functionally to support the business.\nResponsibilities and Accountabilities:\nOversee day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger, close processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting;\nReview and approve journal entries and monthly balance sheet reconciliations;\nManage the monthly close process and support monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting;\nLead and develop a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, review, and mentorship;\nEnsure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies;\nServe as a key contact for external auditors and support annual audit activities;\nSupport tax-related reporting by coordinating with internal and external partners;\nPartner cross-functionally on accounting-related initiatives and special projects;\nIdentify opportunities to streamline processes, improve controls, and enhance reporting efficiency;\nSkills and Abilities:\nGood knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP);\nProficient in Microsoft Office applications; advanced MS Excel skills required;\nPrevious experience working with accounting software;\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills;\nDetail oriented with excellent organizational skills;\nAbility to multitask, meet deadlines and deliver on expectations;\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills;\nStrong interpersonal skills. \nEducation and Additional Experience:\nBachelor’s Degree in Accounting required;\nCPA required;\n6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a mix of public accounting and industry preferred;\nPrior experience managing or mentoring accounting staff;\nStrong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities;\nCollaborative, proactive leadership style.\nSpecial Requirements:\nHybrid position based in A&K USA’s Downer Grove, IL office, with an expectation of working onsite at least four days per week.\nSalary Range:\n$125,000 - $140,000; position is bonus eligible\nBenefits:\nA&K offers a large portfolio of competitive benefits to all eligible, full-time employees.
