Collaboration, continuous improvement and high engineering standards are central to how the team works, helping our clients to be better investors.\nAbout the Role\nBased in Edinburgh, this permanent role offers the opportunity to work across front-end applications, back-end services, cloud infrastructure and enterprise integrations. You will develop, deliver and support digital solutions that provide exceptional client experiences while building your skills across a broad technology stack. Working closely with Product Owners, Architects, UX specialists and business stakeholders, you will solve technical challenges, contribute to engineering excellence and help shape modern digital services. This is an exciting opportunity to expand your expertise in cloud technologies, automation, testing and digital engineering while investing in your tomorrow.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop and support digital applications, APIs, services and integrations across Aberdeen’s digital estate, delivering secure and scalable solutions. \nBuild and support cloud-hosted applications within Microsoft Azure while maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and deployment processes. \nCollaborate with Product Owners, Architects, UX teams and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality digital experiences and business outcomes. \nMonitor live services, investigate incidents, resolve issues and contribute to improvements that reduce recurring problems. \nProduce technical documentation, participate in code reviews and help improve engineering standards, tooling and ways of working. \nDevelop and maintain automated tests using Playwright and integrate quality checks into CI/CD pipelines. \nAbout the Candidate\nExperience developing and supporting production digital applications using modern engineering practices. \nExperience building REST APIs or back-end services, ideally using C# and .NET. \nPractical experience with Microsoft Azure, Git, GitHub and CI/CD automation. \nExperience creating and maintaining automated tests using Playwright or similar frameworks. \nStrong problem-solving skills with an understanding of security, compliance and agile delivery practices. \nAbility to communicate technical decisions clearly, collaborate effectively and learn new technologies. \nDesirable criteria: React, Next.js, TypeScript, Terraform, Sitecore XM Cloud, Vercel, Storybook, GraphQL, CodeQL, SonarQube, SEO and performance optimisation, and experience working with enterprise-scale digital platforms.\nWe are proud to be a Disability Confident Committed employer.
