Collaboration, accountabilityand continuous improvement are at the heart of how the team operates, helping enable our clients to be better investors.\nAbout the Role\nAs a Financial Controller within the Group Financial Reporting and Control team, you will support the financial management, governanceand reporting of Aberdeen’s Luxembourg legal entities. Based in Edinburgh, you will work closely with colleagues in Luxembourg, Finance Operations teams, auditorsand advisers to deliver high-quality financial reporting, statutory accountsand regulatory submissions. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to broaden their exposure to investment management, international legal entities and technical accounting while building strong stakeholder relationships and influencing control improvements.\nKey Responsibilities\nPrepare and review monthly journals, financial reporting packs, accounting workpapers and management commentary for Luxembourg legal entities.\n\nDeliver statutory accounts, regulatory returns, board reporting materialsand audit support within agreed deadlines.\n\nReview and challenge legal entity P&L and balance sheet information, ensuring financial integrity, accuracyand robust controls.\n\nPartner with Tax, Finance Operationsand external service providers to support compliance, transfer pricingand risk management activities.\n\nContribute to budgeting, profitability analysis and process improvement initiatives that enhance the effectiveness of the finance function.\n\nBuild strong relationships across EMEA finance teams and support ad hoc projects and business priorities.\n\nAbout the Candidate\nQualified Accountant (CA, ACCA or equivalent) with experience in financial control, financial reportingor commercial finance within financial services.(essential)\n\nStrong understanding of IFRS, GAAPand financial reporting principles.(essential)\n\nExcellent analytical skills with advanced Excel capability and confidence working with financial systems such as Oracle.(essential)\n\nStrong communicationand presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.(essential)\n\nAudit background (desirable)\n\nFrench language skills (desirable)\n\nWe are proud to be a Disability Confident Committed employer.
