The team promotes collaboration, continuous improvement and engineering excellence, helping enable our clients to be better investors.\nRole Overview\nWe're looking for a proactive and technically strong Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join Aberdeen's Digital Engineering team. In this role, you'll help shape the platforms, applications and integrations that power our digital products and services.\nThis is a high-impact opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges across enterprise-scale platforms. You'll lead the design, development and support of applications, APIs and backend integrations, translating business requirements into secure, scalable and maintainable solutions.\nWorking closely with architects, product teams and engineers, you'll take ownership of key technical workstreams and drive engineering excellence across the software lifecycle. Your expertise will include C# .NET, Microsoft Azure, GitHub and modern DevOps practices, with a strong focus on automation, resilience, observability and operational excellence.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the delivery of applications, APIs and integration solutions from design through to production support.\nProvide technical leadership, mentor engineers and guide delivery decisions aligned with architecture, security and resilience standards.\nManage technical dependencies, risks and priorities while collaborating with stakeholders across engineering and delivery teams.\nDesign, build and support secure, observable APIs and integrations across Aberdeen and third-party platforms.\nDevelop reliable data processing and reconciliation capabilities with strong controls, traceability and data quality standards.\nEnhance CI/CD pipelines and engineering automation using GitHub and modern tooling.\nEnsure solutions are scalable, resilient, secure and compliant with internal and regulatory requirements.\nDrive continuous improvement through operational excellence, incident management and root cause analysis.\nAbout You\nYou're an experienced engineer who enjoys tackling complex technical and data challenges, building secure and reliable services that deliver measurable business and client value.\nYou combine strong technical expertise with a practical, collaborative approach, working confidently across application development, cloud platforms and integration technologies. You're motivated by modernising platforms, improving automation and helping teams deliver high-quality outcomes.\nEssential Skills & Experience\nStrong software engineering fundamentals, including maintainable design, testing, code review and continuous improvement.\nExtensive experience designing and securing APIs, including REST, OpenAPI, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and service-to-service communication.\nStrong Microsoft Azure experience covering application hosting, networking, monitoring and integration services.\nAdvanced C# and .NET development skills, including asynchronous programming, dependency injection and automated testing.\nSolid understanding of integration patterns, distributed systems and secure application architecture.\nExperience with GitHub, GitHub Actions and modern CI/CD practices.\nStrong SQL skills, including data modelling, performance optimisation and data-quality analysis.\nProven ability to lead technical delivery within Agile teams.\nExperience mentoring engineers and supporting team development through coaching and code reviews.\nDesirable Skills:\nCloud resource provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code, ideally Terraform. \nExperience using GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted engineering tools. \nTest automation with Playwright and TypeScript. \nExperience building orchestration and batches using Azure Data Factory. \nExperience building user-focused frontend experiences with React. \nWe are proud to be a Disability Confident Committed employer.
