The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, financial performance, and employee engagement across a portfolio of facilities. This position provides leadership to Area Managers, Site Managers, Supervisors, and frontline employees while maintaining high service standards and driving continuous operational improvement.\n\nThe ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial janitorial operations, multi-site management, labor planning, client relationship management, and financial accountability and MUST SPEAK FLUENT SPANISH.\n\nKey ResponsibilitiesOperations Management\nOversee the daily operations of multiple commercial janitorial accounts throughout the district.\nEnsure all customer locations consistently meet company quality standards and contractual obligations.\nConduct routine site visits, inspections, and operational audits.\nDevelop action plans to improve service quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.\nLead account start-ups, transitions, and service expansions.\nLeadership & Team Development\nRecruit, train, coach, and develop Area Managers, Site Managers, Supervisors, and frontline staff.\nConduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching.\nPromote employee engagement, accountability, and professional development.\nPartner with Human Resources on employee relations, investigations, corrective actions, and performance management.\nCustomer Relationship Management\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with property managers, facility managers, and key client stakeholders.\nConduct routine business reviews with customers.\nRespond promptly to customer concerns and ensure timely resolution of service issues.\nIdentify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts.\nFinancial Management\nManage district labor budgets and operational expenses.\nMonitor staffing levels, overtime, productivity, and payroll accuracy.\nReview financial reports, cost sheets, and account profitability.\nImplement strategies to improve operational efficiency while maintaining service quality.\nCompliance & Safety\nEnsure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and client requirements.\nPromote a culture of workplace safety through regular inspections and training.\nMaintain compliance with all safety, quality, and operational standards.\nEnsure accurate documentation and reporting across all assigned locations.\nOperational Planning\nCoordinate staffing plans for new business, seasonal needs, and emergency coverage.\nSupport disaster recovery, special projects, and customer requests.\nCollaborate with Sales and Executive Leadership during new account implementations.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent operational leadership experience.\n5+ years of leadership experience in commercial janitorial services.\nExperience managing multiple facilities and large employee populations.\nStrong knowledge of labor planning, scheduling, staffing, and operational budgeting.\nExperience managing union and non-union workforces is highly preferred.\nProven ability to lead remote field management teams.\nExcellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.\nStrong customer service and relationship management abilities.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and workforce management software.\nValid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area.\nPreferred Experience\nCommercial office buildings\nClass A office
