This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll set architecture standards, guide a team of 10-20 engineers, and run multiple concurrent initiatives without letting delivery timelines slip. You'll be expected to bring an AI-native mindset to how we build - using modern AI tooling to accelerate development, raise quality, and rethink how problems get solved.\n\nWhat You'll Do:\nDefine and own the end-to-end technical architecture across frontend, backend, and infrastructure, balancing scalability, performance, and cost.\nLead a team of 10-20 engineers across multiple parallel projects, ensuring each ships on time and at quality.\nPrioritize the technical roadmap against business needs - making clear trade-offs on what to build, defer, or drop, and communicating the reasoning to stakeholders.\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship: review designs, unblock engineers, set coding and review standards, and grow the team's capability.\nDrive an AI-native approach to engineering - integrating AI tooling into the SDLC (code generation, review, testing, documentation) and identifying where AI can improve the product itself.\nPartner with Product and Line of Business teams to translate requirements into sound, deliverable technical plans.\nOwn project management discipline across teams: estimation, risk management, dependency tracking, and timeline ownership.\nMaintain engineering health - technical debt, system reliability, security, and observability.\n\nTechnical Stack & Expertise:\nA strong candidate must demonstrate depth across the full stack:\n\nBackend & Services:\nStrong server-side proficiency (Node.js / Java / Python / Go) and RESTful + event-driven service design.\nMicroservices architecture, API gateways, and service-to-service communication patterns.\n\nData & Streaming:\nApache Kafka - event streaming, producers/consumers, partitioning, and stream processing at scale.\nClickstream data pipelines - capturing, processing, and analyzing high-volume user-event data.\nMySQL (and relational data modeling, query optimization, indexing, replication) - plus exposure to NoSQL stores (Redis, MongoDB, Cassandra/DynamoDB).\nData warehousing and analytics pipelines (e.g. ClickHouse, BigQuery, Snowflake, or equivalents).\n\nFrontend:\nModern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (React / Angular / Vue) and responsive, performant UI architecture.\n\nCloud, Infra & DevOps:\nCloud platforms (AWS / GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.\nCaching, CDN, load balancing, and high-availability design for high-traffic consumer systems.\nObservability and monitoring (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting).\n\nAI-Native Tooling:\nHands-on use of AI-assisted development tooling across the SDLC, and a clear view on applying AI within the product.\n\nWhat You Bring:\n12+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong full-stack foundation across modern web frameworks, backend services, databases, and cloud infrastructure.\nProven track record architecting and delivering large-scale, high-traffic systems.\nDemonstrated experience leading teams of 10-20 engineers and running multiple projects simultaneously without compromising timelines.\nStrong prioritization instincts -
