One year later, in 2023, we acquired ABL, the leading German EV charger manufacturer, which has allowed us to strengthen our presence in Europe.\nGet in charge with Wallbox!\nABOUT THE ROLE\nThe Software Engineer Intern interacts regularly with production line operators and supervisors, EOL and test engineers, firmware and hardware engineers, system analysts and operations managers to resolve incidents and support the maintenance and optimization of test and operational systems. They occasionally engage with external technical support, equipment suppliers or software vendors under the guidance of senior staff to address basic system requirements. These interactions occur at a junior level, focusing on providing technical support on the shop floor while gaining exposure to the company's plant infrastructure.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop and maintain EOL test software and automated test sequences for production lines.\nDevelop tools to facilitate and standardize the integration of new tests.\nIntegrate test benches with instruments, PLCs, sensors, power equipment and the device under test (DUT) through industrial and communication protocols.\nEnsure traceability and data integrity by connecting test systems with MES, ERP and databases; build dashboards and reports on yield, failures and cycle times.\nAnalyze test results and line performance to detect root causes, reduce false failures and improve first-pass yield and test time.\nDefine and apply best practices for code quality, versioning, testing, CI/CD and deployment to the shop floor.\nProvide support for production incidents, minimizing line downtime.\nCollaborate in the design and industrialization of new test stations and in the validation of new product introductions (NPI).\nDocument test procedures, architectures and maintenance guidelines.\nRequirements\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic/Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.\nAdvanced level of English.\nMinimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, including design and architecture, preferably in manufacturing, test automation or industrial environments.\nKnowledge of Industrial OT/IT networks (PROFINET, MQTT).\nAdvanced in at least one major programming language such as Python, C#, Java or C++.\nExperience with GitLab and GitHub.\nKeep equipment calibration and certification dates up to date (UL, Eichrecht).\nProven experience developing test automation, data acquisition or control software for production lines or EOL test systems.\nSolid knowledge of communication protocols and interfaces (e.g., Modbus, CAN, serial, TCP/IP, OCPP) and of working with instrumentation and hardware.\nExperience with AI and automation tools (workflows).\nStrong foundations in data structures, algorithms, databases and developing scalable, reliable systems.\nExceptional communication and collaboration skills with a demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members and work alongside shop-floor teams.\nNice-to-Have\nExperience with National Instruments hardware and software (LabVIEW, DAQs, etc.).\nKnowledge of PLCs, industrial automation and MES/traceability systems.\nExperience with Functional Circuit Testing (FCT) or In-Circuit Testing (ICT) would also be valuable.\nExperience with EV charging technology and relevant standards (e.g., IEC 61851, safety tests such as insulation, ground continuity, RCD).\nFamiliarity with manufacturing quality methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, ISO 9001/IATF 16949).\nExperience with cloud-native and containerization tools like AWS, Docker or Kubernetes, and with data analysis/visualization tools.\nProfessional certifications from major providers such as Microsoft, Oracle or Cisco.\nProven track record of contributing to open-source projects or building a diverse technical
