We're here to help!\nROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE\nThe Senior Manager- UKI Applications is responsible for leading the operational management, governance, continual improvement and strategic development of the organisation's portfolio of enterprise operational applications across the UK & Ireland.\nThe role ensures that enterprise technology applications remain secure, reliable, scalable and aligned with operational and business requirements throughout their lifecycle, delivering effective technology capabilities that enable frontline operations and support functions.\nWorking in partnership with business leaders, technology teams, suppliers and external partners, the role provides leadership across UK&I application services, ensuring systems are effectively governed, continuously improved and capable of supporting the organisation's evolving operational needs.\nThe role also provides UK&I application expertise throughout the evaluation, design, implementation, transition and optimisation of technology solutions, ensuring new and enhanced capabilities are operationally supportable, scalable and aligned with business objectives.\nAs the leader of the UK&I Applications function, the role is accountable for developing a high-performing team, establishing operational standards and ensuring UK&I applications consistently deliver value to the organisation.\nCORE AREAS OF \nSupplier & Vendor Management \nPeople Leadership \nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nUK&I Application Leadership\nLead the UK&I Applications function, providing strategic and operational leadership for the organisation's portfolio of operational applications. \nEstablish the vision, operating model and standards for the UK&I Applications function, ensuring services remain aligned with business priorities and Technology objectives. \nDevelop and maintain the UK&I application portfolio, ensuring applications remain effective, scalable, supportable and fit for purpose. \nProvide leadership across the application lifecycle, ensuring operational readiness, resilience and continual improvement are embedded into all services. \nChampion best practice in UK&I application management, service delivery and operational excellence. \nOperational Technology Service Ownership\nOwn the operational performance, administration, configuration, support and continual improvement of UK&I applications within the function's portfolio. \nEnsure UK&I applications achieve agreed service levels, operational performance, availability and user satisfaction. \nEstablish and maintain effective operational processes covering application support, change management, release management, configuration management and service transition. \nEnsure UK&I applications remain resilient, maintainable and capable of supporting business growth and operational change. \nLead the ongoing review of application performance, identifying opportunities to improve service quality, operational efficiency and user experience. \nBusiness Partnership & Technology Enablement\nBuild trusted relationships across operational and support functions, acting as the primary Technology partner for operational applications. \nTranslate business challenges and operational requirements into practical, scalable technology solutions. \nProvide UK&I application expertise throughout business initiatives, ensuring operational considerations are incorporated into solution design, implementation and transition activities. \nSupport contract mobilisation and demobilisation activities by ensuring UK&I applications are configured, deployed and supported to meet operational requirements. \nContribute to technology decision-making through practical operational insight, UK&I application expertise and knowledge of business processes. \nMaintain an understanding of operational capabilities, emerging business requirements and technology opportunities to support continual improvement. \nUK&I Application Governance\nEstablish and maintain governance, standards, processes and operating practices for UK&I applications within the function's portfolio. \nEnsure UK&I applications are appropriately documented, configured and managed in accordance with Technology standards and organisational policies. \nPromote consistency in system configuration, operational processes, documentation, testing and service transition. \nEnsure UK&I applications support regulatory, contractual, security and compliance requirements. \nMaintain oversight of application ownership, support models, operational dependencies and key business processes. \nContinuous Improvement & Service Optimisation\nDrive continual improvement across UK&I applications, identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve user experience and increase operational efficiency. \nDevelop and maintain structured processes for managing application enhancements, operational improvements and technology requests. \nPromote effective adoption of UK&I applications through appropriate guidance, documentation, knowledge sharing and stakeholder engagement. \nSupport the evaluation of new capabilities, enhancements and technologies, ensuring operational impact, supportability and long-term sustainability are fully considered. \nEncourage the effective use of automation, low-code technologies and system capabilities to reduce manual effort and improve operational performance. \nSupplier & Vendor Management\nDevelop effective relationships with software suppliers, implementation partners and service providers. \nMonitor supplier performance against agreed service levels and contractual commitments. \nSupport commercial discussions relating to UK&I applications, including licensing, renewals, service improvements and future capability development. \nEnsure suppliers contribute effectively to operational performance and continual improvement. \nPeople Leadership\nLead, develop and inspire the UK&I Applications team, creating a collaborative, high-performing and customer-focused culture. \nDefine clear roles, responsibilities and development pathways across the function. \nBuild organisational capability in UK&I application management, business analysis, systems administration and operational support. \nPromote knowledge sharing, continuous learning and professional development across the team. \nEnsure appropriate resourcing, prioritisation and workload management to support business objectives. \nRequirements\nEssential\nSignificant leadership experience within Technology, UK&I Applications, Business Systems or Operational Systems. \nExperience managing enterprise-scale business applications supporting operational environments. \nStrong understanding of UK&I application lifecycle management, operational support and continual improvement. \nExperience leading multidisciplinary technology teams. \nExcellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across operational and executive audiences. \nExperience managing third-party software suppliers and technology partners. \nStrong understanding of service management principles and operational governance. \nExperience delivering technology-enabled business improvements. \nStrong commercial awareness with the ability to balance operational requirements, business priorities and technology capability. \nExcellent communication, leadership and decision-making skills. \nDesirable\nExperience within Facilities Management, Aviation or operational service industries. \nExperience with workforce management, enterprise asset management, CAFM, CMMS or similar enterprise operational platforms. \nKnowledge of Microsoft Power Platform and automation technologies. \nExperience supporting enterprise technology implementations and operational transitions. \nUnderstanding of system integrations, APIs and enterprise data flows. \nFamiliarity with ITIL or equivalent service management frameworks.
