The integrity of the directors and the staff of the company have been a priceless contributive factor in the growth and wellbeing of the company.\n\nWe are recruiting to fill the position below:\n\nJob Title: Capability Engineer II \n\nLocation: JVO Offshore, Akwa Ibom \n\nEmployment Type: Contract\n\nOverall Purpose of the Job\n\n The Capability Engineer is responsible for executing capability development programs, supporting competency assessments, and facilitating knowledge transfer across assets to ensure that personnel are equipped with the skills, tools, and processes required for effective operations.\n\n The role supports the integration of training, digital tools, and operational practices to enhance real-time production optimization, reliability engineering, and asset integrity management. Transforms capability initiatives into practical, on-the-ground execution that directly supports production performance and operational efficiency.\n\n Ensures capability initiatives are translated into measurable improvements in operational performance, production efficiency, and reduction in deferment.\n\nThis position delivers measurable business value through:\n\n Improved workforce competency and technical capability\n\n Enhanced adoption of digital and operational tools\n\n Faster problem-solving and decision-making\n\n Contribution to improved production efficiency and reduced deferment\n\nPrincipal Accountabilities\n\n Support implementation of enterprise-wide capability development frameworks across Production Assurance, Reliability, Asset Integrity, and Operations.\n\n Assist in development and maintenance of competency matrices, skill assessments, and training plans for technical personnel.\n\n Coordinate and deliver technical training programs, including:\r\n\n Classroom training\n\n On-the-job training\n\n Simulation-based training (e.g., OTS, digital tools)\n\n Support identification of capability gaps and execution of targeted interventions to close them.\n\n Facilitate knowledge management and documentation of best practices, lessons learned, and operational procedures.\n\n Support deployment and adoption of digital tools (e.g., simulators, analytics platforms, optimization tools) across operations teams.\n\n Provide capability support during:\r\n\n Commissioning\n\n Startup\n\n Operational readiness activities\n\n Assist in onboarding and competency development programs for new engineers and operations personnel.\n\n Track and report capability KPIs, including:\r\n\n Training completion\n\n Competency progression\n\n Skill gap closure\n\n Collaborate with Reliability, Asset Integrity, and Production Optimization teams to align capability initiatives with operational needs.\n\n Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing workforce effectiveness and operational performance\n\n Provide support for preparation of training materials, procedures, and technical documentation.\n\n Participate in audits, reviews, and assessments related to capability and training programs.\n\n Interface with external training providers and vendors to support capability development activities.\n\n Support deployment and utilization of digital production optimization and simulation tools (e.g., OTS, analytics platforms) across operations teams.\n\nJob Context and Main Activities\n\n This role operates within the Operations Readiness, Production Assurance, and Capability framework, supporting capability development initiatives across assets.\n\n The job holder is expected to:\r\n\n Execute capability development programs\n\n Support real-time operational learning and improvement\n\n Facilitate training and competency development\n\n Assist in digital tool adoption and integration\n\n Support commissioning and operational readiness activities\n\n Acts as a key enabler of workforce effectiveness by translating capability strategies into practical execution that directly supports production performance.\n\nJob Knowledge and Qualifications\n\nRequired Qualification:\n\n Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline\n\n 5 -
