You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, site supervisors, EPC contractors, and community stakeholders to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.\nIn This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:\n Construction Execution & Delivery: Take end-to-end responsibility for executing the site construction scope, steering the project from Notice to Proceed (NTP) through testing, commissioning, and commercial operations within set schedules and budgets.\nContractor & Schedule Management: Coordinate and monitor the day-to-day performance of General Contractors and sub-contractors, align site construction timelines with material delivery dates, and resolve operational bottlenecks.\n Quality Assurance & Standards Compliance: Oversee field QA/QC programs, validate testing procedures for materials and structural components (e.g., aggregates, additives, concrete, steel, fabrication), and guarantee full adherence to project specifications and building codes.\nCost Control & Financial Administration: Manage construction finances by tracking project budgets, reviewing and approving contractor billings/invoices, evaluating change orders, and determining cost-effective construction methods during constructability reviews.\nRisk Mitigation & Project Governance: Identify construction risks, prepare mitigation plans, manage RFIs and submittals, conduct regular progress meetings, and provide concise status updates to project leadership.\n Field Leadership & EHS Implementation: Direct site construction supervisors, inspectors, and testing personnel; enforce Integrated Management Systems (IMS) and environmental health and safety programs; and cultivate a safe, high-performing field culture.\nTo Succeed in this Role, we need someone who:\nDemonstrates Resilient Leadership: Leads site operations with high emotional intelligence, drives accountability, and manages conflict constructively under tight schedules and heavy field demands.\nExecutes Strategic Problem-Solving: Identifies root causes of on-site construction challenges early and develops innovative, cost-effective field solutions.\nPossesses Strong Commercial & Technical Acumen: Balances engineering precision, constructability optimization, contract interpretation, and budget control.\nExcels in Stakeholder Collaboration: Builds collaborative working relationships with cross-functional departments, EPC contractors, regulatory bodies, and local community representatives.\nWhat You Will Need:\nEducation & Experience:\n Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering).\nLicense: Candidates must be a registered Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineer.\n Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience in project execution within power generation or energy storage systems (BESS).\n Project Experience: At least 5 years of combined experience in power plant engineering and construction (including OEM and EPC contractor environments), with proven full lifecycle planning, scheduling, and cost responsibility for major capital projects.\nLeadership Experience: Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience supervising field teams, contractors, and cross-functional site personnel.\nTechnical / Functional Skills:\nExpert mastery in project planning, forecasting, and controls from Notice to Proceed (NTP) to Commercial Operation.\nStrong technical background in capital contract management, project bidding, constructability reviews, and construction cost controls.\nAdvanced competence in field QA/QC inspection regimes, materials testing verification, and risk management planning.\nProven proficiency in contractor invoice validation, variation/change order management, and schedule recovery strategies.\nHigh digital dexterity with construction tracking tools, project management applications, and Microsoft Office systems.\nOur Culture & Commitment to You: Powering Your Future\nAt AboitizPower, we honor you not just as a professional, but as a person.
