The incumbent is also responsible for the other mechanical maintenance activities deemed necessary for the efficient plant operations, and contributes directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with the Operations & Maintenance team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.\nIn This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:\nEQUIPMENT INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE\nMonitors the condition of turbines and their components to ensure efficient and reliable plant operation.\n\nInspects turbine parts, generator bearings, and other mechanical system components daily to detect early signs of wear, leaks, or abnormalities.\n\nMonitors vibration, temperature, and lubrication of turbines as part of Condition Monitoring and reports deviations to the immediate superior.\n\nChecks oil and lubrication levels daily to avoid drying up of bearings; cleans oil spills in turbine and motor parts.\n\nPerforms immediate repair and troubleshooting of turbine and mechanical equipment under the direction of the Plant Engineer.\n\nImplements Predictive and Preventive Maintenance activities following established schedules and procedures.\n\nSupports Maintenance of Hydro Facilities and Civil Structures, ensuring mechanical systems such as gates, valves, and penstocks are operational and well maintained.\n\nConducts regular checks of hydraulic systems, cooling systems, and transformer tanks to identify leaks or irregularities.\n\nProvides assistance during the testing and commissioning of mechanical equipment and systems.\n\nTECHNICAL ANALYSIS AND DOCUMENTATION\nFills out Replacement Repair Correction (RRC) Sheets and maintenance inspection forms after every repair or maintenance activity.\n\nRecords vibration, temperature, and lubrication readings to support Predictive Maintenance and trend analysis.\n\nParticipates in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and assists in diagnosing mechanical faults to prevent recurrence.\n\nEnsures proper Work Order Execution and Closure in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or other maintenance tracking tools.\n\nMaintains accurate records of replaced parts, equipment adjustments, and service activities for maintenance traceability.\n\nINSTALLATION AND REHABILITATION\nAssists in the installation, dismantling, alignment, and reassembly of turbine-generator sets and other mechanical systems during maintenance and rehabilitation.\n\nSupports Preventive Maintenance Execution and rehabilitation works under the supervision of the Mechanical Engineer.\n\nEnsures that tools, spare parts, and safety equipment are prepared and ready prior to any scheduled maintenance or outage.\n\nPerforms function checks and assists in testing and troubleshooting of mechanical systems after repair or rehabilitation.\n\nCoordinates with the Plant Engineer during major shutdowns to ensure maintenance works are completed safely and efficiently.\n\nMATERIALS AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT\nConducts inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables for mechanical maintenance and reports the status to the immediate superior.\n\nEnsures availability of frequently used materials and informs supervisors of depleted or critical items.\n\nHandles mechanical supplies with care and ensures proper storage and documentation of maintenance materials.\n\nSupports the implementation of Critical Spares Optimization by reporting frequently replaced or high-failure components.\n\nCOORDINATION AND REPORTING\nCoordinates with the Plant Engineer regarding abnormalities, repair needs, and maintenance schedules.\n\nRecords maintenance activities through the RRC Sheet and submits reports to immediate superior.\n\nOTHER RELATED TASKS\nComplies with company policies and procedures, safety rules and practices.\n\nConforms to the company’s Integrated Management Systems, policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.\n\nReports any Integrated Management System events/incidents or potential events or other risks to the organization.\n\nProtects information assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference by:\n\nStoring documents, forms, contracts, manuals, books and other documents to locked storage rooms/steel cabinets.\n\nMaintaining confidentiality and integrity of all plant records necessary for operations.\n\nPerforms other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by immediate superior consistent with the purpose of this role.\n\nTo Succeed in this Role, we need someone who:\nPreferably with knowledge on Programmable Logic Control, Pneumatics, Hydraulics\n\nWith knowledge in the Philippine Grid Code and Philippine Electrical and Mechanical Code\n\nWhat You Will Need:\nEducation & Experience:\nAt least technical/ vocational graduate\n\nAt least one (1) year of experience in the repair and maintenance of turbines and other turbine parts in a hydro power or related industry.\n\nTechnical / Functional Skills:\nPreferably a Certified Plant Mechanic (CPM)\n\nOur Culture & Commitment to You: Powering Your Future\nAt AboitizPower, we honor you not just as a professional, but as a person.
