You will work closely with 1AP Group to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.\nIn This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:\nThe role ensures that the business units are compliant with relevant laws and regulations, assists in implementing best corporate governance practices, and provides corporate secretarial assistance for meetings and filings.\n\nThe Legal Counsel is responsible for keeping the Group informed of relevant updates in laws and regulations and engaging with regulators and special interest groups on corporate governance matters, coordinating with various stakeholders and government agencies for transactions, and ensuring timely preparation of necessary documents.\n\nThe Legal Counsel is involved in people development, including overseeing paralegals, mentoring the team, and participating in performance management.\n\nWhat You Will Need:\nEducation & Experience:\nBachelor of Laws (LL.B) or Juris Doctor (J.D.)\n\nMaster of Laws (LL.M.) or Master in Business Administration (MBA) is an advantage\n\nAt least five (5 years) of relevant work experience as a licensed legal professional in a reputable law office and/or in-house counsel role, with significant experience in matters or requirements concerning corporate secretarial and compliance requirements of publicly-listed companies.\n\nPossession of energy-related or -complementary experience or background is preferred\n\nWork experience with the Philippine Stock Exchange and/or the Securities and Exchange Commission is an advantage.\n\nLeadership:\nExperience in managerial role, with supervision over a team\nLicense Required:\nMember in good standing of the Philippine Bar\nCertifications:\nUpdated MCLE and in good standing with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) \nLawLab Year 1 or equivalent training with focus on energy-related courses\nOur Culture & Commitment to You: Powering Your Future\nAt AboitizPower, we honor you not just as a professional, but as a person.
