Planning and organisation of cargo within yard operations and create strategies within the existing terminal system. To coordinate with AOM, Gate staff and customers to maximise the terminals capabilities.\nAccountabilities\nProduce operational reports and ensure data accuracy across systems.\nCross-check vessel discharge manifests, cargo data and customer documentation.\nVerify VGMs, customs clearances, dangerous goods notifications (DGNs) and other cargo records.\nCreate, amend and maintain terminal strategies to support vessel and cargo operations.\nPlan container re-organisations and pre-plan terminal cargo in line with operational requirements.\nEnsure vessel discharge and load lists are accurate, including trans-shipments and plug-in requirements.\nMaintain cargo location records and resolve discrepancies in terminal inventory and segregation.\nUse Destin8, AutoStore and other internal systems to monitor, validate and update operational data.\nRespond to internal and external customer enquiries via phone, email, Teams, radio and face-to-face communication.\nLiaise with vessel crews, ADMs, customers and terminal teams regarding vessel schedules, operations and issues.\nProvide operational updates to customers and internal management.\nSupport terminal and vessel staff with IT-related issues and system troubleshooting.\nLiaise with third-party providers to resolve Auto-Store and system-related issues.\nSkills, experiences, qualifications, and competencies\nEssential\nAdvanced use of I.T systems\nExcellent communicational skills\nHigh level of organisational skills\nIdeal\nPrevious Container terminal experience\nUse of I.T strategies and processes\nOverseeing multiple tasks within a fast-paced environment\nThe role comes with a competitive salary, a contributory pension from day one (Starting at 8% with a 2% company match up to 18%), private healthcare, access to our Employee Assistance Program, 26 days annual leave (plus bank holidays and increasing with service), a wide range of discounts/cash back with high street and online retailers.
